This was their first time visiting Hawaii, and until now, everything they knew about it had lived on screens: movies, TV shows, photographs. Experiencing it in real life, on the day they promised their lives to each other, felt nothing short of extraordinary.

Erin and Joshua’s Oahu beach wedding was a heartwarming tale of love, resilience, and new beginnings. Joshua, a dedicated police officer, and Erin, an ED nurse, first crossed paths in a rather unconventional setting—the ER. During one memorable shift, Joshua arrested a suspect and brought him in for evaluation, treating Erin’s entire team to lunch and earning the playful moniker “deputy liar” for his generosity. This charming encounter led to a blossoming romance, culminating in a delightful Disneyland proposal two years later.

Originally, Erin and Joshua planned a grand November wedding. However, when a custody situation endangered their son, they pivoted priorities to family safety. Once resolved, they embraced a spontaneous, intimate wedding plan, choosing Hawaii—a dream destination for their son Cully’s 5th birthday, given his love for ocean life!

Their special day unfolded at Wai’alae Beach Park, where the sun shone brilliantly, framing their vows with nature’s elegance.
