Elope in Oahu Under Pastel Skies

We met Monica & Justin on the beach just as the sun was beginning to set. The clouds in the sky filtered the golden sun into dreamy pastel hues. But there was also plenty of light. The sun’s rays peeking through the horizon, their dreams for the future shining in the distance, and their love for each other, brighter than anything else.

It’s this love that will get Monica & Justin through the tough times, and that will make the good times even sweeter. Without the pressures of a traditional wedding, they were able to reflect on all this. Despite being a giggly couple, they were serious with their vows. That’s one of the things we loved about their ceremony — the balance between emotions. Laughter, tears — we got it all.

Taking Time for Portraits

Monica & Justin were on island time. They didn’t have to rush off anywhere, so we were able to get great portraits of them around the beach. We’re so glad they stuck around after their ceremony to get these beautiful portraits. This was their chance to highlight their personal style and their incredible details.

And though these two decided to elope in Oahu with no guests, we could tell they had so much love and support from back home. Now they also have these images so that they can share their day with everyone who was there in spirit.

A sweet, simple, and romantic wedding in Oahu — you really can’t get any better than that! So when it was time for Noel & Marcus to get married, they gathered up a small group of loved ones and hit the beach.

But just because they dreamed of a low-key celebration doesn’t mean they skimped on the details. Instead, they included the elements that were meaningful for them — a walk down the aisle, a ceremonious lei exchange, and portraits that they’ll always enjoy.

Staying Close to Home

Couples travel thousands of miles to have an Oahu Wedding. But Noel & Marcus live right here on the island. So the beach, the memory, and the details were all extra special for them.

But how did they decide that a hometown elopement was right for them? We’re happy to share that we played a hand in that!

See, Noel & Marcus were out enjoying time at the beach when they saw a wedding happening toward shore. It seemed casual yet meaningful, the type of ceremony they’d enjoy. So as the vendors said their goodbyes, they asked how they could have a similar celebration.

And that’s how they got the information for Simple Oahu Wedding, and how we ended up being their coordinator. Lucky us!

Don’t worry, though — this darling duo stayed close to home for their wedding, but they’re off to see the world. Travel is in their future, and we can’t wait to hear about all the places they visit as a husband & wife team!

A Match Made in Heaven (And Grad School)

Let’s get back to Noel & Marcus, two smiling sweethearts who seemed so relaxed and giddy at their wedding in Oahu. Though they found us recently during a beach outing, their love story dates back over a decade.

That’s when they were both in grad school, looking forward to careers and life beyond their classrooms. Like most great love stories, they met, became friends, fell in love, found a house together, and got a dog (shout out to Louie!). And in 2020, they got engaged.

These days, they’re still rocking the world of academia — Noel as a Vice Principal and Marcus as a high school teacher. And though they’re always looking forward to what’s next, they’re also focusing on the now, enjoying this incredible season of life as newlyweds!

The big day has finally arrived for our beautiful couple, Amy and Aaron! They have been waiting for their Oahu beach wedding, and it’s time to celebrate! We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Amy the day before, with a bridal shoot with our sister company Karma Hill Photography (and no, Aaron didn’t see!) But his initial reaction to seeing his beautiful bride is truly endearing, as you’ll see!

Words For Our Forever

It was a gorgeous day for our sweet couple’s Oahu beach wedding; the sun was bright and danced on the gentle waves at Paradise Cove. When Amy stepped out onto the beach, Aaron started tearing up at the sight of her! It was such an emotional and touching moment to photograph…

They exchanged their vows to the sound of a ukelele’s strums and the waves lapping. Our happy pair were lost in each other’s profound words and eyes; as you can see… the love and connection between these two were unmistakable!

Joined by their nearest and dearest, they were ready to celebrate their Oahu beach wedding! As you can imagine, their family was so excited about these two since they were the perfect match! It was an intimate, small affair but no less romantic and magical!

And now for our lovely couple’s quiet moment with just the two of them! Their newlywed portraits on the beach are incredibly romantic, surrounded by the natural beauty of the ocean and the sand. The way they are holding each other and looking into each other’s eyes conveys a deep love and connection that comes through each photo… Likewise, the soft light that filtered through her veil as they shared a kiss created a memorizing moment!

Our gorgeous bride Amy is not shy of a pop of color, and how we love it! Her bouquet is by far one of the most beautiful we have had the privilege to photograph recently. The riot of tropical colors and the elegant flower orchid was simply stunning. And Aarons’s boutonniere is perfectly coordinated with her colorful confection!

A Moment To Celebrate

After their beautiful ceremony on the beach, they were ready to celebrate an intimate and romantic dinner with their family at Longhi’s! But, the tropical elegance didn’t just stop at the beach; their elegant table was beautifully set in a similar tropical theme that was just gorgeous. A beautiful ending to their perfect day!

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Leondar! It was a joy working with you and coordinating your big day! We wish you a lifetime together of love, happiness, and laughter!

During their Oahu beach wedding ceremony, the love and emotion between our charming couple were palpable. As they exchange their vows and say, “I do,” a feeling of hope and happiness filled the air, as you can imagine! They declared their love and commitment to each other in front of their sweet little family, who were overjoyed for them…and adorable too!

Jacquelyn’s wedding dress was absolutely stunning on the beach. The soft, lacey fabric of the dress moved beautifully in the gentle ocean breeze, creating a romantic and ethereal atmosphere. The intricate details of the dress, such as the lace embroidery, shone in the sunlight and added a touch of elegance to the beach setting!

The ceremony took place at Bellows Beach Park, a stunning location known for its dramatic scenery and turquoise waters. The lighting was soft and pastel, perfectly complementing the tropical surroundings. Jacquelyn and Christopher savored every moment of their special day and even took a dip in the ocean together out of sheer joy, as you’ll see below! And they didn’t mind one bit!

“He knows how much I love this island, and he has never been, so it was only right we have an Oahu elopement,” Marielle told us before her big day!
