What if your love story led you right back to paradise? For Brianna and Nathaniel, their Oahu venue wedding at Kailana Chapel was exactly that, a return to a place that already felt like home, filled with sunshine, joy, and heartfelt aloha.
Nate’s sister and brother-in-law are stationed at Pearl Harbor, so Hawaii has always been close to his heart. After years of visiting, eight trips in total, he finally brought Bri along, and she fell instantly in love with the island’s warmth, culture, and ocean breeze. So when they began planning their wedding, Oahu was the only destination that felt right! And now we couldn’t be more pleased to share some stunning highlights from their big day!

Their story began back in 2018, working together at Van Meter, Bri balancing graduate school, and Nate beginning his career. Friendship grew into love, and seven years later, Nate proposed during a cozy Thanksgiving getaway in Minnesota, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the comfort of togetherness.
Their ceremony at Kailana Chapel was everything they dreamed of: intimate, romantic, and breathtakingly beautiful. They went all about when it came to floral decor! They said “I do” on the deck overlooking the Pacific, framed by white silk floral towers that glowed in the island light. The sound of waves blended with laughter and happy tears as their closest family and friends watched them promise forever.

And of course, no celebration is complete without the people who helped shape their story. After the ceremony, Bri and Nate gathered their friends and family for photos on the oceanfront deck that felt as heartfelt as the vows themselves. There were tight hugs, proud smiles, and that unmistakable sparkle of joy that only happens when your favorite people are all in one place.

The ocean deck, still sparkling from their ceremony, became the perfect setting for portraits that felt dreamy and effortless. The white silk floral towers fluttered softly behind them, adding a touch of romance as the waves crashed in the distance. We love this venue for that very reason! Saying “I, do” overlooking the Pacific couldn’t be more dreamy!
They continued to wander the property for their newlywed portraits, surrounded by lush greenery and golden light. Every smile, every glance felt effortless, the kind of beauty that defines Oahu wedding photography. We were honored to capture these priceless moments for the happy couple!

Congratulations, Brianna and Nathaniel! Your day was a perfect celebration of love, homecoming, and the magic of saying “I do” in paradise!

We are excited to share the beautiful story of Jane and Brian’s Oahu venue wedding! Every love story begins somewhere, some in grand gestures, others over a cup of coffee and a dash of chaos. For Jane and Brian, it started with a Coffee Meets Bagel match and one very memorable first date. She showed up sick, he insisted on paying, and before the night was over, they shared a hug that somehow changed everything. The next day, Jane called with unexpected news, she’d tested positive for COVID. Brian still jokes that she “tried to unalive him” on their first date. Thankfully, two negative tests later, love prevailed!
Fast forward two years, countless adventures, and one sparkly trip to pick out rings, and they found themselves saying “I do” in paradise. Their Oahu venue wedding was everything they’d dreamed of: simple, joyful, and filled with the warmth of friends and family…

With demanding careers and limited time off, Hawaii was the perfect choice! It’s a destination far enough to feel like an escape, yet close enough to truly enjoy. The day was absolutely beautiful: sunshine spilling into the chapel and distant waves crashing outside. The chapel was the perfect place to say their “I, do” because it filled their ceremony with love and light in the most ethereal way!
Jane looked radiant, her city-girl elegance glowing in the bright Kailana Chapel, while Brian brought his easygoing, outdoorsy charm.
Together, they make the perfect pair, balancing ambition with adventure, city lights with starlit beaches. And on their wedding day, surrounded by loved ones and their adorable pup Coco waiting back home, they celebrated the kind of love that’s both grounding and wild.

After the ceremony, they wandered hand-in-hand through the venue’s tropical grounds and along the beach for their portraits. The soft, diffused light wrapped around them, turning every photo into a romantic dream. They laughed, danced, and soaked in that “just married” magic…the kind that lives forever in every image.

Congratulations, Jane and Brian! Your Oahu venue wedding was the perfect mix of laughter, love, and island bliss!

Some couples are a perfect balance, like sunshine and shade, logic and laughter. Some love stories stretch across continents but still find their way home. Donald and Akina’s Oahu venue wedding at Kailana Chapel was exactly that: a celebration that brought two families together from opposite sides of the Pacific, wrapped in sunlight and ocean breeze.
Donald, a quality assurance manager for a California-based company, now works in Japan, where Akina also lives and works in project finance for a Japanese bank. They first met through Tinder, a modern beginning that led to a first date over Italian food in Tokyo. What followed was years of love, distance, and persistence. When Akina was assigned to London, they kept their connection strong until Donald flew to Europe to propose, in Florence, under a soft, rainy sky, with a rugby player’s personalized message tucked beside the ring. Romantic doesn’t even begin to cover it! So we are delighted to share moments of their special day below!

Their wedding day at Kailana Chapel felt like a full-circle moment, a perfect middle ground between their two worlds. The ceremony took place on the deck outside the chapel, where friends and family gathered under clear skies and a sweeping ocean view. Half of their loved ones traveled from Colorado and California, while the rest came from Japan, so meeting in the middle, in beautiful Hawaii, felt perfectly meant to be!
The Pacific stretched endlessly behind them, the light turning everything vibrant and colorful.
Akina looked radiant in the warm Hawaiian sun, her smile brighter than the ocean itself. Donald stood beside her, calm and overjoyed, the two of them framed by sea and sky. When they sealed it all with a kiss, their loved ones cheered right alongside the sound of the waves. There ceremony was intimate, heartfelt, and effortlessly beautifulm, a perfect reminder that love knows no borders, only connection.

After the “I do’s,” they wandered down to the beach for their newlywed portraits. The sunlight made the ocean a bright turquoise and glitter as the waves rolled in. And their Oahu venue wedding photos captured it all, easy affection, quiet joy, and that newly married glow that only Hawaii seems to create. Every photo glowed with that unmistakable joy, the kind that comes from knowing this is exactly where you’re meant to be.

Congratulations, Donald and Akina, your happiness was the brightest part of an already beautiful day! We wish you nothing but the best!

Dallas and Erin’s Oahu beach wedding was a day straight out of a love story, one that began way back in middle school. Some couples are a perfect balance, like sunshine and shade, logic and laughter. Kateland and Jordan’s Oahu venue wedding at Kailana Chapel was exactly that: a blend of calm simplicity and joyful connection, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Hawaiʻi.
Both working in technology, Kateland and Jordan share the same foundation but bring such different energy to the table, a balance that makes them stronger together. They met the way so many modern love stories begin, through a dating app back in 2017. And it didn’t take long for things to click! Over time, they built a life filled with shared adventures, cozy nights with their dog Murphy, and plans for a future filled with family.
When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted something easy and meaningful. No stress, no fuss, just a celebration focused on what mattered most: each other. Kailana Chapel offered the perfect setting, with its luminous windows, delicate tropical light, and timeless island charm…

The day was intimate but beautiful. Kateland looked radiant in her gown, her smile glowing against the soft hues of the chapel’s white arches. Jordan, standing tall and a little emotional, couldn’t take his eyes off her. Their ceremony felt peaceful and intentional, a moment of stillness in one of their favorite places on Earth.
Kailana Chapel itself was breathtaking, pure white with soft touches of tropical greens. As sunlight poured in, it turned everything bright and serene. The ocean shimmered nearby, and the entire room felt weightless, full of warmth and peace.

Afterward, they stepped outside into the sunshine, where the day opened up into color and warmth. The ocean shimmered just beyond the chapel, and the setting couldn’t have been more postcard-worthy! Their portraits on the lawn were bright, joyful, and effortless.
Kateland’s veil danced in the wind while Jordan held her close, both of them relaxed and completely at ease. They clearly are so in love and have so much fun together!
The property offered countless little spots to slip away and capture beautiful photos. It’s hard to pick a favorite photo from their Oahu venue wedding! Aren’t they a gorgeous couple?!

Congratulations, Kateland and Jordan! Your day was the perfect reflection of who you are: balanced, bright, and full of love! We’re so happy for you both and wish you a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and light, wherever life takes you next! Enjoy your time in Hawaii!

Hilary and Taylor’s love story is as charming as a Hallmark movie, complete with a small-town Alabama backdrop, meddling matchmakers, and a whole lot of heart. An Oahu venue wedding at Kailana Chapel already feels like a tropical fairytale, but when Paola and Michael walked through its arched doors, it became something entirely unforgettable. Perched on a bluff above the Pacific, Kailana Chapel is one of Oahu’s most breathtaking hidden gems. With soaring cathedral windows that frame Rabbit Island like it was hand-placed for your ceremony backdrop, the entire space radiates elegance, calm, and sacred beauty. And on this day? It was glowing with love.
Paola looked absolutely radiant in a sleek, off-shoulder gown with delicate lace details and a long, graceful veil that cascaded down the polished aisle like liquid silk. Michael, in his navy suit, held her hand with quiet reverence and maybe a tiny bit of awe (we don’t blame him—she was stunning)…

The ceremony was intimate and full of meaning. Against a canvas of crashing waves and soft tropical light, they exchanged vows while their family and friends looked on. Kailana Chapel’s minimalist design lets their emotions shine, the white stone walls, glass altar, and floor-to-ceiling views making every moment feel cinematic. The bright and airiness of the chapel is just one reason why we love this venue. The light just pours into the ceremony space!
The chapel itself is every bit as sacred as their vows, with vaulted ceilings, soft stone accents, and arched windows that act like giant watercolor frames for the ever-changing seascape. Tucked into the cliffs above Makapuʻu, this private oceanview chapel blends the best of natural beauty and refined elegance.
Paola and Michael’s “I do” on the luminous altar wasn’t just a moment. It was their next page-turning moment in their love story. A quiet, powerful promise shared with the ocean in the distance…

Afterwards, we wandered down to the rocky coastline where the newlyweds shared quiet glances and windswept kisses. The contrast of rugged lava rocks and soft, romantic attire made for classic photos full of love and heart.

Congratulations, Paola and Michael! Your Oahu venue wedding was a dream in every way! We wish you both nothing but the best for the decades ahead!

Are you looking to wow your guests for your Hawaii Destination Wedding? Look no further than our newest Oahu wedding venue, Kailana Chapel, nestled on the ocean side of Sea Life Park, just a scenic 30-minute drive from the heart of Waikiki.
This stunning venue offers couples two options for their ceremony location: the expansive deck with sweeping ocean views or the air-conditioned comfort of the chapel, both offering breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean.

One reason why we love this venue is that it has the gorgeous Makapu’u beach just below with white sand and dramatic rocks to capture adventurous couples photos after your ceremony and group photos. It also offers a small bridal suite on-site, so couples can add those final touches to their attire before walking down the aisle.
There are so many ways to elevate this venue to truly make it as unique as your love story. We decided to show one option by arranging a styled photo shoot with Hawaii Arch Rentals to show off one of our favorite new options for ceremony florals with these silk eco-flower towers.

You can enhance the ambiance with optional add-ons like a white or brown round circle arche adorned with fresh floral arrangements. Or for a big WOW factor, add on silk floral towers and aisle decor as pictured from Hawaii Arch Rentals. These flower towers offer an eco-friendly and visually stunning alternative to traditional fresh flowers, ensuring a picture-perfect look without waste. Another bonus to using these silk flower towers, unlike fresh flowers which can vary in size, color and availability, what you see is EXACTLY what you get!
If your dream is an outdoor wedding with ocean views, the deck overlooking the ocean provides a breathtaking view that will truly wow your guests! With seating for up to 30, this secluded oasis provides the perfect backdrop for couples to declare their love for one another in a setting that feels both tranquil and majestic. With nothing but the vast expanse of the sea stretching out before them, it’s easy to feel like the only two people in the world in this idyllic paradise!

Our floral partner, Hawaii Arch Rentals , went above and beyond bringing the aloha factor with these vibrant tropical arrangements and floral towers! Just imagine saying “I, do” in this colorful setting!
Believe it or not, these stunning floral towers and arrangements by Hawaii Arch Rentals are actually 100% silk! Not only are they eco-friendly, they are a breathtaking alternative to traditional fresh flowers which would cost more than triple the price! These floral towers are an add-on to our Kailana Chapel Venue package and begin at $1k and up (the floral towers pictured are $1,600) while a fresh flower alternative would be well over $5k! Your guests won’t even know the difference, they look so real! While most fresh flowers get shipped to the island and thrown away after your wedding day, these silk alternatives provide a sustainable option for your wedding in paradise!

The ocean view deck comes with white garden chairs and round circle arches in white or brown can be added on for $375. In addition, fresh floral decor can also be added to the arches, ranging from $800 and up.

The Flower towers can also be pushed together to form more of an arch. You can also add on matching aisle arrangements to complete the look!

The arch windows filled with views of the Pacific Ocean frame the stunning vista making it a breathtaking location to say “I, do”. As you can see, light floods the ceremony area for a bright and airy atmosphere. This is a wonderful option for Hawaii’s hot summer months as the chapel is air-conditioned and comfortable for up to 50 guests. Even though you are getting married in comfort with padded seating for your guests and cool air, you don’t lose out on the proximity to the ocean. You can also budget time into your couple’s photos to take photos around the property and on the beach directly below the venue to soak in the Hawaiian scenery.

If you like what you see in the photos of the chapel with the white silk flower arrangements and lanterns, you are in luck! These are included in the venue rental so you have instant ambiance. If you would prefer to customize the chapel or just simply remove these items, this can be done with a $100 removal fee.

The outside grounds of the chapel are as charming as the inside and are the perfect option for your group and family photos on the front steps.

Parking for this venue is at Sea Life Park for larger groups, it is paid per car and at the current rate and discretion of Sea Life Park. There is limited free parking for smaller groups. We recommend hiring a shuttle or limo so everyone can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views along the way.
It’s important to note that ceremonies at Kailana Chapel must be between 9 AM and 2:30 PM, ensuring ample time for set up, ceremony, photos and breakdown before the property closes at 4 PM. This makes it convenient for couples who may want to opt for a Luau reception because they can return to Waikiki in time for their earlier start times. So, whether you prefer to be indoors or outside in the sunshine, Kailana Chapel offers both options making it easy to switch indoors in the event of rain.
Our wedding coordinators are happy to answer any of your questions about our Kailana Chapel wedding package! Our dedicated coordinators will work with you to customize your perfect wedding day whether you choose to be indoors or outside on the scenic deck. This wedding package includes everything you need for a stress-free and unforgettable wedding experience in Oahu! Send us an email at info@simpleoahuwedding.com with any questions you may have.
