An Oahu destination wedding felt like the most natural next chapter for Bill & Aurora. Their love story began on the same street, in the same classrooms, in the quiet familiarity of growing up side by side in China. What started as a close friendship slowly and naturally deepened into something more, built on mutual respect, resilience, and steady support. When Aurora chose to continue her studies and career in the US, it became another chapter they stepped into together, which made their celebration at Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute feel beautifully fitting.
Keep reading to see how their gorgeous Oahu venue wedding unfolded!

On a sweeping green lawn overlooking the ocean, with petals scattered across the grass and the sound of waves in the distance, they promised forever in a setting that felt as expansive as their journey.

Aurora was radiant, her veil catching the breeze as Bill looked at her with that unmistakable expression of someone who knows exactly how lucky he is. The lush palms, the soft shoreline, and the vibrant bouquet against the coastal backdrop made every portrait feel timeless and cinematic.

Their Oahu destination wedding was not about spectacle, but about meaning. It was about two people who chose each other with intention, again and again, and then chose the ocean as their witness.

Bill & Aurora, congratulations on a love that feels both powerful and beautifully at peace.

Some love stories arrive quietly. Others burst in like sunshine through open windows. Jamie and Lauren’s story and Oahu venue wedding did both, unexpected, undeniable, and somehow perfectly timed.
They met online in an outdoors group when neither of them was looking for a relationship, let alone a long-distance one. Jamie, the friendly extrovert who chats with strangers and collects houseplants. Lauren, the thoughtful introvert who avoids small talk, uses self-checkout religiously, and edits Jamie’s emails for tone. On paper, opposites. In real life? Effortless.
One meeting in Kansas City changed everything. Soon, miles became frequent flights, conversations stretched late into the night, and love grew steady and sure. Six months later, Jamie conspired with Lauren’s daughters to plan a surprise proposal in Austin. And just like that, their next chapter began!

When it came time to plan their wedding, they wanted something meaningful, intimate, and new for both of them. A place where memories could start fresh. Enter Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute, a breathtaking property on a beautiful stretch of coastline.
Their ceremony unfolded under swaying palms and soft ocean light, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was peaceful, emotional, and deeply personal. Every word felt intentional. Every glance held history, hope, and a whole lot of love.

Afterward, they wandered the property for portraits, and they shared many quiet moments soaking up the magic of the moment. The light streamed through the palm trees overhead, and everything felt exactly right. Lauren looked divine and her bouquet was just as jaw-droppingingly beautiful! Jamie opted for a classic linen suit that looked so perfect for a beachy, tropical wedding.
And that’s the thing…this wasn’t a grand spectacle. It was a quiet celebration of two lives beautifully intertwined.

And then there was the golden sunset that didn’t disapoint! The portraits felt effortless and real, full of movement, warmth, and the kind of joy that only comes from knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Jamie and Lauren, your wedding was thoughtful, heartfelt, and full of grace. What a stunning way to begin your next adventure together!

Lilian and Kevin’s serene Oahu venue wedding was on the beach at the Ritz-Carlton Oahu Turtle Bay, beneath a softly framed arch with the ocean stretching endlessly behind them. And somehow, it felt like the world gave them just a little extra space to breathe that day.
Tucked near the stables, their ceremony location felt wonderfully private, almost secret. The waves rolled in steadily, the breeze carried the scent of salt and sun, and everything about the setting whispered this is exactly where you’re meant to be. Turtle Bay has a way of blending wild beauty with quiet luxury. And here away from crowds, surrounded by open coastline, it felt deeply personal.
Their guests arrived in cheerful aloha shirts, instantly setting the tone: relaxed, joyful, and full of heart. There was no stiffness, no pretense, just people they love, gathered to witness something real. When Lilian and Kevin exchanged vows beneath the arch, the moment felt grounded and meaningful. Every word landed softly but stayed. Promises spoken with intention. Love spoken out loud. Keep reading to see more of their special day with us!

And oh, they looked so happy! Not the posed-for-photos kind of happy, but the kind that shows up when you’re completely at ease with the person standing beside you. Their ceremony was intimate and personal, just what they envisioned. No frills, no fuss, just two people choosing each other in the most sacred way. And what made their Oahu venue wedding even more unique is that they were able to have both the beach option and the privacy of the venue!

Their portraits captured all of it: the quiet pauses, the joyful movement, the way the setting wrapped around them without ever stealing the spotlight. Walking along the beach, soaking it all in, they looked like two people who knew—deep down—that this day would always matter.

Their beach portraits felt effortless and intimate, the kind of moments that unfold when there’s nowhere else to be and nothing else to do but enjoy each other. With the sand beneath their feet and the ocean stretching wide behind them, Lilian and Kevin leaned into one another like this was exactly how it was always meant to be.

It was meaningful. It was beautiful. And it was private and full of joy.
And most importantly, Lilian and Kevin had the best time, the kind of wedding day that feels less like a production and more like a memory you’ll return to forever. Congratulations to you both!

Erin and Joshua’s Oahu beach wedding was a heartwarming tale of love, resilience, and new beginnings. Joshua, a dedicated police officer, and Erin, an ED nurse, first crossed paths in a rather unconventional setting—the ER. During one memorable shift, Joshua arrested a suspect and brought him in for evaluation, treating Erin’s entire team to lunch

Some love stories take the scenic route, not because they’re uncertain, but because they’re steady enough to wait. Chance and Jessica’s Oahu elopement at Kualoa Beach Park was the perfect reflection of that kind of love: relaxed, carefree, sweet, and quietly romantic.
They met out on the town and fell into each other’s lives with ease, building a relationship that has now spanned eleven years. Chance proposed in December 2019, surrounded by the glow of a beautiful Christmas lights display, magical, joyful, and full of promise. Like so many couples, their original wedding plans were postponed because of COVID. And then… life happened. The days kept moving, the love stayed strong, and eventually they realized they didn’t need a big production to make their marriage meaningful. Keep reading to see more about their beautiful day!

They had never been to Hawaii before, but they knew they loved hiking, beaches, and adventure. And Oahu felt like the perfect place to finally say I do. Choosing an elopement allowed them to strip everything back to what mattered most: the two of them, the moment, and the experience. No timelines to manage. No expectations to meet. Just love.
Kualoa Beach Park offered a breathtaking setting, dramatic mountains rising behind them, ocean stretching endlessly ahead, and an atmosphere that felt both grounding and awe-inspiring. The day unfolded naturally, filled with that unmistakable feeling of rightness. Their ceremony was simple and warm, the kind that comes from years of choosing each other without hesitation.

Their portraits felt genuine and heartfelt, and the joy of finally stepping into this chapter together. They both were such a beautiful sight to behold on the beach! Chance’s white tux and Jessica’s flowy dress was a total dream. Chance and Jessica’s elopement wasn’t about making up for lost time, it was about honoring the love that carried them here. All that mattered was that they were together as one.

A beautiful adventure. A perfect beginning. Congratulations to Chance and Jessica on forever! Mahalo for choosing Simple Oahu Wedding!

Some weddings feel like the perfect mix of romance, tradition, and a little bit of fun. Jordan and Jacqueline’s Oahu venue wedding was all of that and more. Some love stories don’t need a crowd. They need a place that feels a little unreal, a little magical, and completely right. Thompson and Mita’s Oahu elopement at Kualoa Beach Park was exactly that: intimate, meaningful, and filled with wonder from the very first moment. This was their first time visiting Hawaii, and until now, everything they knew about it had lived on screens: movies, TV shows, photographs. Experiencing it in real life, on the day they promised their lives to each other, felt nothing short of extraordinary.
When they imagined a once-in-a-lifetime wedding, Hawaii came instantly to mind. The ocean. The sunset. The relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. (And for Mita, a devoted Stitch fan, the island already held a special place in her heart.) Standing beneath the dramatic cliffs of Kualoa, with the ocean stretching endlessly behind them, it felt like the island itself was welcoming them into this new chapter.

Their story began online, sparked by a shared love of anime and games. What started as a friendship slowly, naturally, became something deeper, the kind of connection that feels effortless and safe. After meeting in person, their bond only grew stronger, until choosing to marry each other felt less like a decision and more like a certainty.
Thompson, an auditor, and Mita, a freelancer, live busy lives, but their joy comes from the simple things: quiet days at home, watching shows, playing games, wandering through parks or malls hand in hand. That same ease carried into their wedding day. They looked incredibly happy, relaxed, glowing, and fully present, the kind of happiness that doesn’t need to be loud to be felt.

Their portraits were effortlessly romantic. Mita was in a delicate lace gown and flowing veil, glowing as the breeze caught every soft detail, while Thompson looked sharp and confident by her side. Together, they looked completely at ease, their happiness unmistakable as Kualoa’s dramatic scenery framed the beginning of their forever.

Their elopement was tender and sincere, filled with soft light, gentle laughter, and moments that felt entirely their own. Thompson and Mita, congratulations on a truly special beginning. May your life together be full of slow days, shared joy, and many adventures!

Some wedding days feel like a deep breath: calm, intentional, and exactly right. Chase and Sarah’s Oahu venue wedding at the Lanikuhonua Cultural Center was one of those days. Thoughtfully planned and beautifully intimate, it was a celebration rooted in connection, family, and choosing what mattered most.
Sarah had visited Oahu three or four times before, but for Chase and his family, this was their very first experience in Hawaii. That made the setting feel even more meaningful. They chose Oahu not just for its breathtaking beauty, but for its accessibility and heart. With Sarah’s mother’s side of the family living in Japan, Oahu offered a place where her grandmother could easily travel, while still giving Chase’s family an unforgettable island experience. Rather than stretching their budget for a large destination wedding, they leaned into what felt right. It was a small ceremony with close family only, surrounded by love instead of crowds. Keep reading to see more

Their story began in Washington at an ugly Christmas sweater party, the kind of meeting that feels random until you realize it was inevitable. A game of beer pong turned into something more, and not long after, Chase proposed at Gas Works Park in Seattle between a Seattle Sounders game and a Two Door Cinema Club concert. Joyful, spontaneous, and full of energy, very on brand.
Their ceremony was simple and elegant. It was a beautiful celebration of their love and their next chapter. Full of meaning, love, and the kind of devotion only true soulmates have for one another.

Both serving in the U.S. Navy, Chase and Sarah understand commitment in a way few do. Chase is currently deployed aboard the USS Ford in the Mediterranean Sea, while Sarah is stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, counting down the days until she moves back to Washington. Through distance, deployments, and busy schedules, they’ve chosen each other every time. Their beautiful portraits were so stunning around the property, too! From the palm trees to the lawn, every corner was the perfect photo opportunity for these two lovebirds.

At Lanikuhonua, a place rich in cultural significance and natural beauty, they looked completely at ease. Happy. Grounded. Certain. Their smiles said it all. It was a day that felt meaningful and lovely in every way, and the perfect beginning to their next chapter together. Congratulations to you both!

Sometimes love isn’t about grand ballrooms or ornate centerpieces. Sometimes it’s about toes in the sand, the sun warming your face, and the way your person looks at you like you’re the only one on the planet. Amanda and Robert’s Oahu elopement at Paradise Cove beach was just that: simple, stunning, and soaked in sunlight.

Some weddings feel like a beginning and an arrival all at once. And Aliantha and Albert’s Oahu venue wedding at the Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute was exactly that. It was their very first time in Hawaii, a place neither of them quite knew what to expect… and yet, somehow, it felt like the island had been waiting for them all along.
Their story began far from Oahu, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where two lives crossed paths and immediately decided not to uncross. Aliantha, from Brentwood in Northern California, and Albert, from Orange County, a six-hour drive that turned into a year and a half of long distance, patience, and choosing each other over and over again. Eventually, Albert made the move north, a leap of faith that, in his words, became the best decision of his life! In short, these two were destined to be, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring their dream wedding to life!

Curious about their proposal? Because let’s be honest, we love a good proposal story! It was dramatic in the best possible way, on a cliff in Yosemite overlooking the entire valley. Albert was thrilled, nervous, and completely certain. (The best proposals usually include all three!)
Both working in the medical field, they’ve built a life rooted in care and dedication, balanced by a shared love of travel, nature, and adventure. Aliantha finds joy in family time, hiking, and capturing memories through photos, while Albert unwinds through cooking experiments and long runs.

They shared a few first look moments before their ceremony began. It was so special and intimate. There is something special about having this moment just for the two of them! It was so sweet to see Albert’s reaction, too!

Their wedding day at Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute was deeply meaningful. Surrounded by friends and family, ocean stretching endlessly behind them, they exchanged vows in a place rich with culture, beauty, and intention. It felt intimate, grounding, and full of heart.

Their newlywed portraits captured everything perfectly: soft light, knowing smiles, and the kind of closeness that comes from choosing each other through every chapter. A day filled with love, laughter, and promise. Aliantha and Albert, your beginning in Hawaii was nothing short of magical! You can now official call one another husband and wife!

As the sun dipped lower, Aliantha and Albert made their way down to the beach for sunset portraits. And it was the perfect ending to an already meaningful day. The sky softened into warm hues, the ocean shimmered, and everything felt calm and unhurried. How beautiful do they look on the shoreline?

Congratulations, Aliantha and Albert!
Your Oahu wedding was heartfelt, beautiful, and full of intention. Wishing you a lifetime of love, adventure, and many more sunsets together!

What if your love story led you right back to paradise? For Brianna and Nathaniel, their Oahu venue wedding at Kailana Chapel was exactly that, a return to a place that already felt like home, filled with sunshine, joy, and heartfelt aloha.
Nate’s sister and brother-in-law are stationed at Pearl Harbor, so Hawaii has always been close to his heart. After years of visiting, eight trips in total, he finally brought Bri along, and she fell instantly in love with the island’s warmth, culture, and ocean breeze. So when they began planning their wedding, Oahu was the only destination that felt right! And now we couldn’t be more pleased to share some stunning highlights from their big day!

Their story began back in 2018, working together at Van Meter, Bri balancing graduate school, and Nate beginning his career. Friendship grew into love, and seven years later, Nate proposed during a cozy Thanksgiving getaway in Minnesota, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the comfort of togetherness.
Their ceremony at Kailana Chapel was everything they dreamed of: intimate, romantic, and breathtakingly beautiful. They went all about when it came to floral decor! They said “I do” on the deck overlooking the Pacific, framed by white silk floral towers that glowed in the island light. The sound of waves blended with laughter and happy tears as their closest family and friends watched them promise forever.

And of course, no celebration is complete without the people who helped shape their story. After the ceremony, Bri and Nate gathered their friends and family for photos on the oceanfront deck that felt as heartfelt as the vows themselves. There were tight hugs, proud smiles, and that unmistakable sparkle of joy that only happens when your favorite people are all in one place.

The ocean deck, still sparkling from their ceremony, became the perfect setting for portraits that felt dreamy and effortless. The white silk floral towers fluttered softly behind them, adding a touch of romance as the waves crashed in the distance. We love this venue for that very reason! Saying “I, do” overlooking the Pacific couldn’t be more dreamy!
They continued to wander the property for their newlywed portraits, surrounded by lush greenery and golden light. Every smile, every glance felt effortless, the kind of beauty that defines Oahu wedding photography. We were honored to capture these priceless moments for the happy couple!

Congratulations, Brianna and Nathaniel! Your day was a perfect celebration of love, homecoming, and the magic of saying “I do” in paradise!
