Nate’s sister and brother-in-law are stationed at Pearl Harbor, so Hawaii has always been close to his heart. After years of visiting, eight trips in total, he finally brought Bri along, and she fell instantly in love with the island’s warmth, culture, and ocean breeze. So when they began planning their wedding, Oahu was the only destination that felt right! And now we couldn’t be more pleased to share some stunning highlights from their big day!

Their story began back in 2018, working together at Van Meter, Bri balancing graduate school, and Nate beginning his career. Friendship grew into love, and seven years later, Nate proposed during a cozy Thanksgiving getaway in Minnesota, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the comfort of togetherness.

Their ceremony at Kailana Chapel was everything they dreamed of: intimate, romantic, and breathtakingly beautiful. They went all about when it came to floral decor! They said “I do” on the deck overlooking the Pacific, framed by white silk floral towers that glowed in the island light. The sound of waves blended with laughter and happy tears as their closest family and friends watched them promise forever.

And of course, no celebration is complete without the people who helped shape their story. After the ceremony, Bri and Nate gathered their friends and family for photos on the oceanfront deck that felt as heartfelt as the vows themselves. There were tight hugs, proud smiles, and that unmistakable sparkle of joy that only happens when your favorite people are all in one place.

Some love stories stretch across continents but still find their way home. Donald and Akina’s Oahu venue wedding at Kailana Chapel was exactly that: a celebration that brought two families together from opposite sides of the Pacific, wrapped in sunlight and ocean breeze.

Donald, a quality assurance manager for a California-based company, now works in Japan, where Akina also lives and works in project finance for a Japanese bank. They first met through Tinder, a modern beginning that led to a first date over Italian food in Tokyo. What followed was years of love, distance, and persistence. When Akina was assigned to London, they kept their connection strong until Donald flew to Europe to propose, in Florence, under a soft, rainy sky, with a rugby player’s personalized message tucked beside the ring. Romantic doesn’t even begin to cover it! So we are delighted to share moments of their special day below!

Under The Morning Sun

Their wedding day at Kailana Chapel felt like a full-circle moment, a perfect middle ground between their two worlds. The ceremony took place on the deck outside the chapel, where friends and family gathered under clear skies and a sweeping ocean view. Half of their loved ones traveled from Colorado and California, while the rest came from Japan, so meeting in the middle, in beautiful Hawaii, felt perfectly meant to be!

The Pacific stretched endlessly behind them, the light turning everything vibrant and colorful.

Akina looked radiant in the warm Hawaiian sun, her smile brighter than the ocean itself. Donald stood beside her, calm and overjoyed, the two of them framed by sea and sky. When they sealed it all with a kiss, their loved ones cheered right alongside the sound of the waves. The Hyatt Regency Waikiki is this magical oasis tucked right into downtown Waikiki, a place where you can feel the city’s vibrant energy while still gazing out over endless ocean views. With the turquoise Pacific as their backdrop and the buzz of Waikiki below, Nicholas and Erika’s celebration felt at once intimate and glamorous. The terrace framed their ceremony in luminous light, soft breezes, and that unmistakable Hawaiian magic that makes everything feel cinematic.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds took time for portraits around the terrace with the cityscape and ocean beyond. Some love stories that end with an Oahu venue wedding build slowly, like a favorite song you can’t get out of your head. And Chase and Austin’s is one of them. They first crossed paths at the gym years ago, but it wasn’t until 2021, that sparks officially caught fire. Their first date was a workout, their second a hangout, and soon they were stealing whatever moments they could together, even if it was just ten minutes in the car during a lunch break.

By 2023, there was no grand proposal, just an unshakable knowing. They had picked out their rings long before, and one ordinary day turned extraordinary when a friend from UPS delivered one of them to a volleyball night. When Austin saw the Royal Hawaiian Golf Club, surrounded by lush Ko‘olau mountain peaks and drenched in that signature island light, the decision was made. And when their wedding day arrived, Oahu delivered breathtaking views, tropical breezes, and a setting that felt as vibrant and alive as their love story.

Their Oahu venue wedding was heartfelt and intimate, with their closest loved ones gathered to witness a ceremony that was both deeply personal and joy-filled. Their big day was so special, filled with sunshine, overflowing with love, and surrounded by family and friends who blessed their union with the true spirit of aloha. The moment they said “I do” felt like time slowed, the warm light wrapping around them as if the island itself was celebrating alongside them.

Afterward, they slipped away for newlywed portraits with golden light spilling across the greens, the dramatic mountains standing tall behind them, and the two of them laughing like no one else existed. From the moment they stepped onto the beach, Amanda glowing in a vibrant floral dress that gave major “tropical goddess” energy, and Robert looking every bit the laid-back, adoring groom in crisp white and khaki, it was clear this day wasn’t about fuss. It was about them.

Kathleen, a fresh RN grad who also works in Quality for a cosmetics company (aka she’s brilliant and radiant), looked absolutely luminous with a flower crown that made her resemble a Hawaiian goddess. Irvin, calm and cool in his barong-style shirt and maile lei, is an aircraft mechanic. And that somehow feels so perfect because he’s clearly been her best support over years. (Sorry, had to.)

As the sun dipped lower and the tradewinds rustled through the trees, they shared a kiss against a backdrop of jagged green cliffs and soft blue water. They later wandered the beach hand in hand like they were stepping into their bright future with all the aloha vibes embracing them…

After getting engaged on Kauai (cue waterfalls and sunset vibes), these two knew the islands had officially stolen their hearts. But instead of the big ballroom-and-200-guests wedding, Nick and Patti chose something that felt more like them: an intimate beach wedding, surrounded by nature, simplicity, and just the right amount of sea breeze.

They said “I do” at Kualoa Beach Park, where the towering green cliffs watched over them like proud witnesses. The morning sun poured golden light over the sand, and the photos? Light, airy, and full of soft smiles and glowing joy. It was romantic and relaxed, the kind of wedding that makes you think, “Yeah, this is what love looks like.”

Nick, our pragmatic electrical engineer, and Patti, a future elementary school hero and coffee enthusiast, shared sweet glances as if they had been doing this forever. It’s clear these two are meant to be.
