We were delighted to coordinate Char and Jae’s Oahu venue wedding! It was a stunning day that was just what these two envisioned. Char, a Hawaii native now living in Seattle, and Jae, originally from South Korea and currently finishing med school in Boise, found common ground in their love for food, outdoor adventures, and each other.

Their love story began at the clinic where they both worked, bonding over music and food before embarking on a long-distance relationship when Jae moved for medical school. Their engagement on the Oregon Coast was a surprise moment of magic, with Jae’s thoughtful proposal setting the stage for their dream wedding! And now their love story has come full circle, especially for Char! So, Hawaii couldn’t have been more perfect for the beginning of their future together!

Sealed With A Kiss

Choosing the Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute for their Oahu venue wedding ceremony provided a stunning backdrop, with the water in the distance and loved ones gathered on the lawn to witness their union. As they exchanged vows and sealed it with a kiss, the magic of the moment was palpable, surrounded by the beauty of Hawaii and the love of family and friends! Moreover, the light filtered through the trees created a magical atmosphere that reflected the spirit of their big day…

Our sweet couple, Kirk and Genevieve’s wedding day was a joyful celebration that perfectly mirrored their adventurous spirits. This dynamic duo, with Kirk’s expertise in mechanical engineering and Genevieve’s academic background in sociology and criminology, chose to tie the knot amidst Hawaii’s breathtaking beauty. They were actually inspired by a friend’s recommendation and the allure of an unforgettable destination!

Their love story, which began in the halls of college, is as adventurous as their free time spent mountain biking, hiking, and exploring the vast outdoors of Montana. Despite initial proposal plans being thwarted by weather at Hyalite Reservoir and Glacier National Park, Kirk’s romantic proposal under Moab’s Delicate Arch at sunset was nothing short of perfect. Love knows no age limit, and for Jody and Steven, their journey of love began in their 60s. Both retired Air Traffic Controllers with grown children from previous marriages had experienced life’s ups and downs before finding each other. Their common interests in saltwater fishing and travel brought them closer.

The magic of Christmas 2022 brought an extra special gift for Jody when Steven asked her to marry him. It was a moment filled with joy and excitement, knowing they were about to embark on a new chapter of their lives together. And what better place to celebrate their Oahu elopement than the stunning Paradise Cove Beach in Oahu? They hoped for something simple, tropical, and romantic, and that’s exactly what our wedding team delivered!

Just What We Wanted

On their special day, nature set the perfect stage for their celebration. The gentle waves and breeze created a serene ambiance, complementing the love that filled the air. Jody and Steven chose to wear white, embracing a beachy, relaxed look that perfectly suited the tropical paradise surrounding them at Paradise Cove Beach.

As they stood hand in hand, looking into each other’s eyes, it was evident that their happiness knew no bounds. After all the twists and turns of life, their paths had finally crossed, leading them to this magical moment. They found solace in each other’s arms, knowing their love was meant to be!

Our lovely pair, Colleen and Christopher, exchanged their vows at Paradise Cove, nestled on a grassy lawn overlooking the majestic ocean. It was like something out of a fairytale! The setting was absolutely beautiful, with the tropical scenery adding an extra touch of magic to their special day. The vibrant colors, swaying palm trees, and gentle ocean breeze created an ambiance that was pure paradise. They were surrounded by the beauty of nature, and it made their hearts sing!

Speaking of beauty, let’s take a moment to appreciate just how stunning Colleen and Christopher looked on their big day. Picture-perfect would be an understatement! Colleen looks like a vision in white with her veil fluttering in the wind. And Christopher looks just as sharp! As they exchanged their leis and vows, their love was tangible. Sammy and Drex’s Oahu venue wedding was a truly special day for this incredible couple! They wanted something simple and stress-free, especially since they were planning their wedding from out of state. They opted for a family/close friends wedding which felt like the perfect fit for them! Sammy and Drex loved that they could also have the live stream/recording option, so all of their loved ones could be a part of their special day…

“It was love at first swipe!” Drex told us before their big day. Their love story began with a swipe on a dating app, and much to their surprise, it actually worked! Sammy was in Arizona, and Drex was in the Philippines. But they talked every single day and soon realized they were each other’s biggest supporters. Sammy said even though long-distance relationships can be tough, when they’re with the right person, they’re easy! This happy pair proved that belief to fullest! A Secret Garden

Their Oahu venue wedding was at Kualoa Secret Island in the Moli’i Gardens, nestled by the fish ponds. It was so serene and beautiful… The tranquil beauty of this little spot felt like a secret garden in a tropical oasis. We loved how Sammy made a grand entrance on the magnificent stairwell, and everyone was so happy to join in their celebrations! Drex couldn’t stop smiling at his beautiful bride!

A Day Full Of Love And Laughter

But what struck us most about these lovebirds was how giggly and full of laughter they were! It was evident that they are the best of friends and truly enjoy each other’s company. We walked around the lush lawns and by the dock, capturing just the two of them to savor the romantic moment. There is something about water and lush greenery that makes you feel like you’re in a secret garden!

Sammy and Drex look so incredibly happy together, and it was an honor to capture these special moments! The joyful laughter, tender moments, embraces, and kisses were just the first of many in their next chapter together…

Elope in Oahu Under Pastel Skies

We met Monica & Justin on the beach just as the sun was beginning to set. The clouds in the sky filtered the golden sun into dreamy pastel hues. But there was also plenty of light. The sun’s rays peeking through the horizon, their dreams for the future shining in the distance, and their love for each other, brighter than anything else.

It’s this love that will get Monica & Justin through the tough times, and that will make the good times even sweeter. Without the pressures of a traditional wedding, they were able to reflect on all this. Despite being a giggly couple, they were serious with their vows. That’s one of the things we loved about their ceremony — the balance between emotions. Laughter, tears — we got it all.

Monica & Justin were on island time. They didn’t have to rush off anywhere, so we were able to get great portraits of them around the beach.
