An Oahu venue wedding does not usually come with wild shoreline waves, a veil dancing in the wind, and a small audience of curious horses watching from nearby stables. However, Greg and Skye’s wedding day at The Ritz-Carlton O‘ahu, Turtle Bay felt exactly like something out of a romance novel.

Just the two of them stood barefoot on the sand, wrapped in leis and sunlight, with the Pacific stretching endlessly behind them. Skye looked luminous in her fitted lace gown. Hawaii offered everything they love in one place: mountains for her, beach for him, and sunsets that make you stop talking mid-sentence.

Justin, a Marine veteran from Florida, now works as an Insider Threat Analyst for the Marine Corps. Helena, from Brazil, holds a master’s in IT Management and manages programs for the World Bank. Together, they’re a mix of strength and calm, lifting weights, gaming, watching sunsets, traveling, and building a life full of laughter. Their two Australian Shepherds, Pepper and Rye, keep them on their toes.

They met on Tinder in 2018, before Justin even had an apartment picked out. He’d just moved to the city; she was finishing college. Neither planned on anything serious. But between coffee runs and city walks, they found comfort in each other’s company. The “I love you” came naturally, and soon after Helena graduated, they moved in together.
