Hyatt Regency Waikiki

Some weddings feel like the perfect mix of romance, tradition, and a little bit of fun. Jordan and Jacqueline’s Oahu venue wedding was all of that and more.

Their story started in July 2023 on Bumble, where Jordan noticed Jacqueline’s love for food and travel. He sent her a message saying he was into both, too. That tiny spark led to conversations that haven’t stopped since. By July 2024, during Jordan’s annual family trip to Orcas Island, he proposed at sunset on the beach. A quiet cabin, waves rolling in, and a new chapter beginning, it was the kind of moment you replay in your mind over and over. And now we are excited to share highlights from their beautiful day!

Tropical Elegance

Choosing Hawaii for their wedding was easy! Both already had fond memories of family trips to the islands, and Oahu felt like the right place to begin their lives together. Jacqueline had visited once before, right after graduating from Washington State University, while Jordan had been to Maui but never to Oahu. This was the perfect first.

Their venue, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki, gave them something uniquely beautiful. The terrace overlooked the cityscape, with palm trees swaying against the ocean breeze. It felt both vibrant and intimate, a tropical cityscape elegance paired with the joy of a celebration in paradise.

Their wedding was romantic, elegant, joyous, memorable, and perfectly traditional in the ways that mattered most. Friends and family surrounded them, music and laughter filled the air, and Hawaii wrapped the whole celebration in warmth.

And the portraits? Absolutely stunning. Their photography was bright and airy, full of soft light that made every detail glow. Jacqueline looked radiant in her flowy gown, and Jordan beamed at her as if she were the only person in the world; together, they looked timeless. The palm trees, the Waikiki skyline, the sparkle of the Pacific, it all came together in images that feel both modern and classic.

Nicholas and Erika’s love story reads like the perfect blend of fate, adventure, and just the right amount of movie magic. Nicholas manages a custom suspension shop, Erika is a soon-to-be nursing school graduate, and together they share their lives with a black lab who has their hearts completely. From camping trips in the desert to tropical getaways, these two love exploring the world side by side.

Their Oahu venue wedding at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki felt like the ultimate homecoming. Years ago, their very first big vacation together was to Hawaii, and the islands had always held a special place in their hearts. Maui was their introduction to paradise, but when it came time to say “I do,” Oahu’s lively, iconic Waikiki was calling. And honestly? It couldn’t have been more perfect!

Tropical Meets Urban

Their story began long before this day, back when they were kids whose families knew each other. How crazy is that? Nicholas saw Erika again in high school and thought she was the most beautiful person he’d ever seen. Years later, on a Royal Caribbean cruise to Catalina Island, he got down on one knee on a cliffside and asked her to marry him. That ocean-side proposal led them straight to this stunning ocean-view Oahu venue wedding!

Tropical meets cityscape is exactly how we describe this unique venue. The Hyatt Regency Waikiki is this magical oasis tucked right into downtown Waikiki, a place where you can feel the city’s vibrant energy while still gazing out over endless ocean views. With the turquoise Pacific as their backdrop and the buzz of Waikiki below, Nicholas and Erika’s celebration felt at once intimate and glamorous. The terrace framed their ceremony in luminous light, soft breezes, and that unmistakable Hawaiian magic that makes everything feel cinematic.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds took time for portraits around the terrace with the cityscape and ocean beyond. Wit the city humming in the background, their images radiated joy, romance, and that just-married glow. Every embrace and every smile felt like a love letter captured in time. Nicholas looked incredible chic in his three piece neutral suit and Erika look radiant in her classic column white gown…simply stunning and so elegant.

Can you imagine a love story that starts with a compliment about cheekbones and blossoms into a beautiful family? That’s exactly how Janessa and Reginald’s journey began on New Year’s Eve 2019, and their Oahu venue wedding was the perfect celebration of their love story.

Janessa has always adored visiting Oahu, making it one of her favorite places. Although Reggie had never been, Janessa knew there was no better place to celebrate their wedding than this island paradise. With their closest friends and family in tow, they chose the oceanfront terrace at the Hyatt Regency in Waikiki for their special day.

Their relationship grew strong during the challenging times of Covid, eventually leading them to move in together and adopt their adorable pitbull, Blue. On Christmas Day 2022, Reggie proposed, but wedding plans took a brief pause when they discovered they were expecting a little bundle of joy! Now, with their five-month-old baby girl Evie by their side, they were ready to tie the knot! And we were so delighted to make it finally happen for the beautiful pair!

Their Oahu venue wedding day was absolutely stunning. The Hyatt’s oceanfront terrace provided a breathtaking backdrop, with the vast blue ocean meeting the vibrant cityscape, creating a city luxe vibe that was both sophisticated and romantic. Friends and family gathered to witness Janessa and Reggie exchange their vows, a moment filled with love and joy.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds took some time to capture beautiful portraits that showcased not only their love but also the incredible view. The tropical city setting with the palm trees added a magical touch to their photos!
