Last week, Sara and Dereck were wed with a beautiful Oahu beach wedding on the shore of Waimanalo. With loved ones cheering them on and the salty sprays of the ocean, this was a ceremony fit for any island dream!

Wearing a traditional silhouette with a lace halter, Sara was radiant. We loved how Dereck brought his own modern twist to the beachside groom. And the fact that their little guys matched had us smiling from ear to ear! Keep scrolling for all the sweet moments!

We often have our brides share their stories, but today we’re excited to share the words of our groom!
From our groom: “Sara and I used to hold hands while in class in middle school. We both graduated from the same middle school and high school together. We lived our own separate lives and almost a decade later ran into each other at a strawberry festival in Garden Grove California.”

“I think Sara’s mom Angela fell in love with me first and asked Sara who I was. I met her family, chatted for a little bit and we went our own ways. Shortly after, I attended a Quincenera my brothers were a part of and little did we all know Sara and her family were at this Quinceanera. We danced the night away and later that same evening went on our first date.”

“Sara jumped on the back of my motorcycle, her brother Sergio took a picture of us before we left and we had dinner at an elegant restaurant on Balboa Island. Sara loves fillet mignon, so on Angelo’s birthday Oct 26, 2019, I proposed to her at a beautiful restaurant known as the Orange hill restaurant in Orange County California while she was pregnant with Zeus. We are blessed with two handsome boys Angelo 7 and Zeus 1 1/2.”

Congratulations, Sara and Dereck! Thank you for trusting us with your Oahu beach wedding! We wish you all the happiness in the future!

Teresa and Matthew’s wedding in Oahu was a lovely ceremony. Waimanalo was rustic and wild, which paired beautifully with our calm and serene couple. This was a ceremony filled with love and memories that will last a lifetime.

Teresa and Matthew’s wedding was slightly overcast with a light sprinkling of rain. Often the effect resembled twinkling stars and left us in awe. Speaking of “in awe,” how sweet is that expression on Matthew’s face when he first sees Teresa walk in! These two are made for each other! Keep scrolling for more of the beautiful ceremony!

Teresa and Matthew met on an online dating site in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2019, they took a special trip to the Big Island. During an evening walk on the beach, Matt got down on his knee and asked Teresa to marry him! And of course, she said yes! Matt was so thrilled, he saved the sand on his knee from when he proposed–we are all about this sweet detail! The rest of their story is right here on our blog!

Congratulations, Matthew and Teresa! We had a wonderful time coordinating your wedding. We wish you all the very best and plenty of love and happiness in your marriage. A hui hou!

Last week, Kara and Travis chose to elope in Oahu on the beautiful shore of Kualoa Beach. With only a few guests but plenty of love to go around, this was a simple yet elegant wedding filled with tropical beauty.

Kara and Travis chose to elope in Oahu because it was a “dream.” Neither of them had ever visited Hawaii, and who doesn’t want to say “I do” on our spectacular shores! Kara and Travis’ ceremony was broadcasted back home with our “Virtually There Package.” So although the guest count was small, Kara and Travis were able to share their beautiful elopement with friends and family back home. It was truly the best of both worlds!

Kara and Travis met while they were young. Kara was best friends with Travis’ sister, but they didn’t see each other very often. Travis and Kara went their separate ways until one special day when Kara’s cousin mentioned that Travis worked with her. Kara said, “Give him my number” and was surprised when he called! They hit it off right away and knew they were meant to be!

Together, Travis and Kara form a blended family with four beautiful children and love to spend time with family, try new restaurants, and travel to new places–like Oahu! Keep scrolling for more of our amazing couple and gorgeous photography as they elope in Oahu!

Congratulations, Kara and Travis! It was a joy helping you bring your dream into reality! We wish you all the very best in the future!

Rhea Mae and Oscar’s Oahu micro wedding was something so wonderful it’s hard to sum it up in words. Set on the tropical venue of the Paradise Cove Luau’s Ocean Lawn, and with an intimate number of guests and endless tropical beauty and love, we were thrilled to help make Rhea Mae and Oscar’s wedding dreams come true.

Rhea Mae and Oscar chose to have an Oahu micro wedding because for them it was like coming home. Rhea Mae was born on the island, and Oscar was looking forward to meeting Rhea’s island family. They kept the ceremony small, but plan to have a larger event when it pans out to be safer in the future. We felt it was the perfect guest count for an intimate and tropical ceremony.

Rhea Mae and Oscar’s engagement story is so sweet, we had to let our bride share it:
“Oscar and I met back in college at Oregon State University four years ago. We both were engineering majors at the university. and were introduced through common friends. After we started hanging out together more, we learned we had common interests and passions, and the rest is history! We got engaged on Christmas Eve 2020, and Oscar asked me on a frozen lake!”

“Given the winter season, we had to hike two miles down to the lake from the parking lot. The weather at the lake and mountain could not have been more beautiful. After a quick lunch at the lake, we were intrigued and walked onto the frozen lake, with the mountain perfectly in the background. As we were walking on the lake, Oscar began to talk about how much they loved me, then went down on one knee, and asked the question! First I said “let me think about it”, and then quickly said, “of course.” How sweet is that?! Keep scrolling for more from this amazing couple!

Congratulations, Rhea Mae and Oscar! Thank you for trusting us with your Big Day! We wish you all the very best in your incredible journey!

We had the best time at Jennifer & James’ Hawaii Micro Wedding! This sweet pair traveled from Missouri for a sweet and laid back ceremony. They were blessed with bright sunshine, a little bit of rain, and calm water – so they got a little bit of everything! Check out their photos below, and join us in congratulating the lovely couple!

Jennifer & James planned their Hawaii micro wedding as part of a family vacation to Oahu. With all the hustle & bustle of a fun vacation, it was extra special to slow down and enjoy a quiet wedding ceremony. Secret Island at Kualoa Ranch offered a peaceful setting to say “I Do.”
The swaying palm trees and pastel water made for a picturesque backdrop, and the soft ukulele music was the perfect touch. It really was like we were in our own little world. It was a tropical dream!

This cute couple both work for the same pathology group. In their free time they love being outdoors and spending time with James’ two amazing kids.
They first came to Oahu together two years ago for a work conference. This time, their trip was no work and all play, including their fun Hawaii Micro Wedding! None of their guests have been to Oahu before, so it was still a new & exciting experience.
James & Jennifer had a first dance after the ceremony, and then it was time for couples portraits around the property. This outdoorsy couple was excited to get photos with the ocean and mountain backdrops. Keep scrolling to see more of their pictures!

Secret Island is tucked away on a far corner of Kualoa Ranch. To get to the ceremony site, we take a boat across calm waters. Not only is this a great experience, it also makes for beautiful photos. We love how these shots turned out, and our favorite part is the beautiful couple. They are newly married and totally in love!

Congratulations, Jennifer & James! Thank you so much for allowing us to coordinate your Oahu wedding. We loved meeting you, and we wish you all the best!

Last week, Vanessa and Jordan said “I do” during their tropical and breezy Oahu beach wedding. It was a joy being a part of their big day. With loved ones in attendance and that special magic in the air, this was a moment that will live on in eternity.

Standing in a flower circle of lovely island blooms and greenery, Jordan awaited his bride while overlooking the glistening ocean. Vanessa made her appearance in a striking gown with a flowing train and embellished bodice. We love the way her vibrant flower crown pops against her traditional bridal look.

Kahu Kimo Taylor officiated the union, and Vanessa and Jordan tied their lives together. They celebrated with a first dance on the sandy shore while holding each other tight. Later we ventured down to the waterline and the professionals at Karma Hill Photography captured radiant images of our couple enjoying their first moments together as a married couple.

Vanessa and Jordan met 6 years ago via a fluke accident on the well-known dating application, Tinder. Whether it was a fluke or destiny, it was certainly meant to be! Now, these two are sharing their lives together and ready to walk into a beautiful future. Keep scrolling through the blog for more from their magical Oahu beach wedding!

It was a glistening day on the Leeward side for Demi and Nicholas’s beautiful wedding in Oahu. Paradise Cove beach was vivid with a light tropical breeze that kept the event relaxing and comfortable. We were thrilled to be a part of this couple’s special day!

Reverend Kimo Taylor began the event with the beautiful deep sound of the Hawaiian conch. Demi made her entrance wearing an elegant off-the-shoulder boho gown with a flowing mermaid train. We loved how her island look came together with a tropical flower crown and rustic Hawaiian bouquet. Nicholas stood by, wearing his military dress uniform and unable to contain his smile as he watched the love of his life walk down the sandy aisle. These two were meant to be!

Demi and Nicholas met in grad school, but they didn’t hit it off right away. The magic moment came five years later when he reached out and the spark was lit! Nicholas has two kids from a previous relationship and Demi says, “They’re great!” Demi and Nicholas aren’t just tying their own lives together, they’re also joining their families. Keep scrolling for all the beautiful moments!

A simple morning ceremony with some great photos – sounds like the perfect Oahu Beach Wedding! Karra & Eric are such a sweet couple, we’re so glad we got to plan this for them. They didn’t need a big, dramatic wedding. Instead they opted for beautiful simplicity – barefoot on the beach. Joined by two precious guests – their daughters, Karra & Eric said I-Do, and they looked great doing it! Take a look at some of their Oahu Wedding Photos!

This was Karra & Eric’s first time to Oahu. We’re sure they’ll be back again now that they’ve got such great memories from our island plus Karra’s sister lives here! These sweethearts met at a barbershop when Karra was working there. They live in California, where Eric is a general contractor and Karra is a hairdresser.
Their two adorable daughters keep them busy, and they kept us swooning for their wedding. Scroll down and see the sweet girls all dressed up for Mom & Dad’s Oahu Beach Wedding!

We typically plan our Beach Weddings for either morning or sunset. Each are beautiful and special in their own way! Karra & Eric opted for a morning ceremony, and it was stunning! The morning light complemented their chic boho style.
Waimanalo Beach is quiet in the morning and features a magical blue-toned glow. What a great place for an Oahu Beach Wedding!
It also meant that the newlyweds could relax for the rest of their wedding day! After being pronounced husband & wife, it was time for some fun and romantic portraits with Karma Hill Photography. Then they had the whole day ahead of them to enjoy. We’re so glad we got to spend this time with them, and we wish them all the best!!

Congratulations, Karra & Eric! We loved meeting you and your sweet family! Mahalo for allowing us to coordinate your beautiful wedding!
