We are so excited to share Gellie and Ronnie’s Oahu beach wedding! The sun-kissed beaches, the gentle ocean breeze, and the enchanting beauty of the island made it a perfect destination for our high school sweethearts to tie the knot. Gellie and Ronnie realized this dream as they exchanged vows on the picturesque shores of the island’s east side. They chose an Oahu wedding because they’ve always wanted to do a beach wedding, but it wasn’t possible for a church wedding in the Philippines in 2024. But they were already planning on doing a civil wedding anyway, and they were already going on a family trip to Hawaii. So they thought since they would already be in Oahu with their family, why not get married there?! Brilliant idea! They will also be able to hold their church wedding next year too!

Gellie and Ronnie were head over heels in love, and their wedding day celebrated their deep bond. With anticipation and excitement in their hearts, they eagerly awaited this beautiful day; they absolutely LOVE the beach!

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the atmosphere was filled with pure joy. Everyone present felt incredibly blessed to witness and be a part of Gellie and Ronnie’s special moment. Love was in the air and in the ocean breeze, as you’ll see below!

Meant To Be

Ronnie and Gellie’s love story began in the most unexpected of places – their senior year honors arts class. It was Gellie’s favorite class, her sanctuary amidst the chaos of high school. Little did they know that their paths would intertwine in a way that would change their lives forever.

Although they didn’t know each other well at first, Ronnie and Gellie found themselves engaging in casual conversations from time to time. But it wasn’t until a year after high school, about 13 years ago, that their friendship blossomed into something more. On August 22, 2010, they officially became a couple, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

Their love story took an enchanting turn when, exactly 12 years later, on August 22, 2022, during a vacation in the Philippines, Ronnie decided to take their relationship to the next level. It was a magical moment, almost midnight, by the shimmering waters of a beach. With the stars as witnesses, Ronnie got down on one knee and proposed to Gellie, sealing their love for a lifetime!

Beachy Simplicity

Kualoa Regional Park Beach provided an exquisite backdrop for their wedding ceremony! With the ocean waves gently crashing against the shore, Gellie and Ronnie stood hand in hand, ready to embark on this incredible adventure as husband and wife. The setting was nothing short of magical, capturing the essence of their love.

Everyone arrived in the best of spirits, dressed in pristine white attire! Ronnie and Gellie included traditional Cambodian and Filipino elements in their elegant wedding attire too! The purity and simplicity of their outfits perfectly complemented the natural beauty surrounding them. It was a sight to behold, a sea of white against the vibrant blue of the ocean and the sandy shore.

As they exchanged their heartfelt vows, there was so much joy in everyone’s hearts and smiles. Their love spilled over, touching the hearts of everyone present at their wedding. We are so happy this family vacation turned out to be the perfect opportunity for an Oahu beach wedding!

Gellie and Ronnie truly looked like a match made in heaven on their special day. Gellie adorned a stunning haku flower crown, carefully crafted with vibrant blooms that perfectly complemented her natural beauty. The tropical crown added an extra touch of elegance to her look, making her radiate with an ethereal glow!

Love has a way of surprising us when we least expect it, and Mamie and Tom’s Oahu elopement is a perfect testament to that. Mamie, a fitness enthusiast and LA-based Pilates instructor, and Tom, a writer for DC Comics and animated TV shows, found each other through the twists and turns of fate.

Their love story began two years ago when they met on a dating app. Little did they know that their first date would be an unforgettable one. Mamie’s mischievous dog decided to leave a lasting impression by playfully giving Tom a little nip – a “love at first bite” encounter. Mamie worried that this unexpected incident might scare Tom away, but to her delight, he came back for more, proving that their connection was unbreakable!

Fast forward to their engagement, where Tom placed the ring on the Christmas tree, initially claiming it to be a “promise to get married” ring due to some cold feet from a previous marriage. But he quickly confessed that it was indeed an engagement ring!! Mamie couldn’t help but fall in love with the ring even more when she learned that Tom’s uncle, a jeweler, had expertly cut the diamond into the shape of a heart – a symbol that holds extra special meaning for her as she was born on Valentine’s Day! Our lovely pair, Colleen and Christopher, exchanged their vows at Paradise Cove, nestled on a grassy lawn overlooking the majestic ocean. It was like something out of a fairytale! The setting was absolutely beautiful, with the tropical scenery adding an extra touch of magic to their special day. The vibrant colors, swaying palm trees, and gentle ocean breeze created an ambiance that was pure paradise. They were surrounded by the beauty of nature, and it made their hearts sing!

Speaking of beauty, let’s take a moment to appreciate just how stunning Colleen and Christopher looked on their big day. Picture-perfect would be an understatement! Thomas and Devin, two Southern California natives, met and fell head over heels in love during their high school days. With Thomas graduating from CAL Berkeley and Devin from UH Manoa, these two lovebirds found their way back to each other despite the distance. Thomas now works in the tech industry, while Devin excels in the world of marketing.
