Last week, Vanessa and Jordan said “I do” during their tropical and breezy Oahu beach wedding. It was a joy being a part of their big day. With loved ones in attendance and that special magic in the air, this was a moment that will live on in eternity. 

The Oahu Beach Wedding

Standing in a flower circle of lovely island blooms and greenery, Jordan awaited his bride while overlooking the glistening ocean. Vanessa made her appearance in a striking gown with a flowing train and embellished bodice. We love the way her vibrant flower crown pops against her traditional bridal look. 

Kahu Kimo Taylor officiated the union, and Vanessa and Jordan tied their lives together. They celebrated with a first dance on the sandy shore while holding each other tight. Later we ventured down to the waterline and the professionals at Karma Hill Photography captured radiant images of our couple enjoying their first moments together as a married couple. 

Vanessa and Jordan met 6 years ago via a fluke accident on the well-known dating application, Tinder. Whether it was a fluke or destiny, it was certainly meant to be! Elysia and Trevor’s Oahu venue wedding on the sandy lawn of Paradise Cove Luau was filled with light, love, and that special excitement that comes with destiny in the making. Friends and family watched on as our beautiful couple made a commitment based on love and honor while the mellow Hawaiian ocean lapped in the backdrop. It was a heavenly day. 

The Oahu Venue Wedding

Elysia entered with her arms linked with her father and step-father. Looking radiant, Elysia wore a simple yet elegant lace gown, as her hair fell in perfect waves down her shoulders. The ceremony was joyous as our couple exchanged vows and Hawaiian leis to solidify their union together. 

Following the “I do’s,” it was time to celebrate! The team at Karma Hill Photography made great use of the location, finding gorgeous spots of greenery and tropical beach backdrops. One of the many perks of having an Oahu venue wedding is the sheer variety of scenic elements. Elysia and Trevor seemed right at home. It was a glistening day on the Leeward side for Demi and Nicholas’s beautiful wedding in Oahu. Paradise Cove beach was vivid with a light tropical breeze that kept the event relaxing and comfortable. We were thrilled to be a part of this couple’s special day!

The Wedding in Oahu

Reverend Kimo Taylor began the event with the beautiful deep sound of the Hawaiian conch. Demi made her entrance wearing an elegant off-the-shoulder boho gown with a flowing mermaid train. We loved how her island look came together with a tropical flower crown and rustic Hawaiian bouquet. Nicholas stood by, wearing his military dress uniform and unable to contain his smile as he watched the love of his life walk down the sandy aisle. These two were meant to be!

Our Couple’s Story

Demi and Nicholas met in grad school, but they didn’t hit it off right away. The magic moment came five years later when he reached out and the spark was lit! Nicholas has two kids from a previous relationship and Demi says, “They’re great!” Demi and Nicholas aren’t just tying their own lives together, they’re also joining their families. We were so thrilled to coordinate Chante and Jason’s Oahu beach wedding. They were married last week on the shore of Waimanalo with friends and family in attendance. It was our pleasure to help them have the tropical and easy-going wedding of their dreams!

The Oahu Beach Wedding

It was a clear day at Waimanalo with white sands that seemed to stretch on for miles. When it was time for the ceremony to begin, Reverend Kimo blew the conch and cued Chante’s entrance.

We loved how Chante made a splash on the shore. She said she wanted her wedding to be simple–with everything but the dress! Wearing a layered gown with a jeweled bodice, Chante is showstopping! And the day only got more beautiful. Chante and Jason exchanged vows and began their married life together. 

Our Couple’s Story

Chante and Jason have been together for fifteen years, but Chante only introduced him to her children seven years ago. She kept him as her hidden secret as she focused on raising her kids. Now she says she’s marrying this man because he patiently waited. And the result was worth the wait! Chante’s children adore him! 

Chante and Jason met 15 years ago at work. Jason proposed during a hike up a beautiful trail in Lake Tahoe. He was far behind Chante when he shouted that he thought their little dog was stuck in her collar. When their sweet pup came racing up to Chante, she noticed a sparkling ring attached to her collar. Claire and Matt were wed on the shore of Kualoa Ranch’s Secret Island with an Oahu destination wedding that was both relaxing and beautiful. With Chinaman’s Hat on the horizon and framed by a burgundy arch, it was a magical day with a couple in love. 

The Oahu Destination Wedding

Rose petals framed the aisle for Claire and Matt’s Oahu destination wedding as their guests watched them tie their lives together. Holding a tropical elegance bouquet in blue, Claire looked stunning in a traditional gown and the radiant smile of a bride in love. Matt was sporting his unique style in a checkered jacket and a patterned fuschia tie.  When the moment came for our couple to clasp hands, the joy was tangible. Claire and Matt were so excited to tie their lives together.

Following the ceremony, the talented Karma Hill Photography team took Claire and Matt aside to capture gorgeous photos of their first few minutes as husband and wife. We were all about their sweet expressions! Once it was time to return, our couple sailed back to the dock on a traditional Hawaiian fishing boat. It was an incredible day!

Flying in from Chicago for their Oahu beach elopement, Sara and Brandon were surrounded by paradise as they said their “I do’s.” It was a beautiful afternoon at Kualoa Regional Park Beach. The ocean was glistening and there was a perfect view of Chinaman’s Hat on the horizon.

Sara and Brandon wanted a simple yet beautiful option for their elopement, and Hawaii was the perfect place for both. It may have been just the two of them in person, but with our Virtually There Package, our couple was able to stream the event to loved ones back home. It was a sweet ceremony and we know there were some wet eyes back in Chicago!

At six months pregnant, Sara looked absolutely glowing in her wedding gown. Their Oahu beach elopement isn’t just the start of their marriage, but the start of their life as a family. Together for two years, Sara and Brandon are excited to continue their journey together. There was no end to the happiness and joy during their beautiful ceremony. A simple morning ceremony with some great photos – sounds like the perfect Oahu Beach Wedding! Karra & Eric are such a sweet couple, we’re so glad we got to plan this for them. They didn’t need a big, dramatic wedding. Instead they opted for beautiful simplicity – barefoot on the beach. About Our Couple

This was Karra & Eric’s first time to Oahu. We’re sure they’ll be back again now that they’ve got such great memories from our island plus Karra’s sister lives here! These sweethearts met at a barbershop when Karra was working there. They live in California, where Eric is a general contractor and Karra is a hairdresser.

An Oahu Beach Wedding in The Morning

We typically plan our Beach Weddings for either morning or sunset. Each are beautiful and special in their own way! Karra & Eric opted for a morning ceremony, and it was stunning! The morning light complemented their chic boho style.

Waimanalo Beach is quiet in the morning and features a magical blue-toned glow. What a great place for an Oahu Beach Wedding!

It also meant that the newlyweds could relax for the rest of their wedding day! After being pronounced husband & wife, it was time for some fun and romantic portraits with Karma Hill Photography. Then they had the whole day ahead of them to enjoy. We’re so glad we got to spend this time with them, and we wish them all the best!!

Laura & Eddie told us that an Oahu Elopement sounded like a dream. They were never interested in a big wedding. Instead they wanted something relaxed and elegant in a beautiful setting. After months of planning, they finally had their dream ceremony. Surrounded by sparkling blue water and dramatic mountains, Laura & Eddie vowed to love each other for the rest of their life! We’re so glad we got to be a part of it, and we’re excited to share these photos!

About Our Couple

Laura & Eddie met in trialing times and in an unlikely place. They were strangers when they had family members suffer strokes at the same time. Laura’s grandfather and Eddie’s father shared a hospital room, separated by a curtain. They ended up seeing each other a lot as they visited the hospital, and soon a shared experience turned into shared love.

These kind souls both work in healthcare administration back home in Florida. They love spending time with their family and their sweet dogs. We’re sure everyone was cheering them on from back home!

Laura & Eddie stayed in Hawaii for 10 days while they were here for their Oahu elopement. First they enjoyed time in Oahu, and then relaxed in Maui too!

Tropical Elegance for an Oahu Elopement

We love Laura & Eddie’s wedding style! They wanted to have a relaxed vibe that was true to the tropical setting. However, they also wanted a touch of elegance and classic wedding style. We think they did a great job of balancing the two! Eddie’s light blue suit and Laura’s chic gown have a timeless look that complemented the look of Waimanalo Beach. And Laura’s floral from Sweet Blossoms Hawaii added the perfect tropical touch!
