A Day of Excitement ~ Patricia & Ted’s Oahu Destination Wedding

This Oahu Destination Wedding was so exciting, especially since our bride and groom had family come all the way from Poland for their special day! The most exciting part though was that these two have been together for over a decade and were more than ready to say, “I do” in front of their loved ones. And despite the rain, it was a truly beautiful day and one we know will never be forgotten!

Patricia and Ted met on AOL online! Remember when that was still a thing? She was just 17 and he was in his early 20’s, they’ve now been together for 14 years. And we have no doubt they will have the most amazing life with each other as husband and wife! We couldn’t be happier for these newlyweds and are so glad we could be part of their Oahu Destination Wedding.

Adventure Seekers ~ Amber & César’s Yokohama Beach Elopement

Amber and César had the most magical night for their Yokohama Beach Elopement! From an epic rainbow in the distant mountains to a beautiful sunset. It really was a picture-perfect evening! Just see for yourself 🙂 .

To make their evening even more memorable, this bride and groom chose to have Kahu Pomaikai perform their wedding with her traditional Hawaiian ceremony. The blessings she offers are full of so much love, and the true spirit of Aloha. Creating a truly memorable experience for a couple getting married in paradise!

Amber and César are big on adventure, so after previously visiting Maui and Kauai they were excited to explore Oahu and the Big Island on their wedding trip. So we’re thrilled they chose to get married here! And are confident this will be a day neither of them will ever forget. We know we sure won’t! Venue Perfection ~ Heather & Michael’s Paradise Cove Oahu Wedding

After getting engaged here a year ago, Heather and Michael were so excited to return to the island for their Paradise Cove Oahu Wedding! And we love that they were able to share their special day with loved ones. We know coming to Hawaii isn’t always easy, and we could tell these guests were so excited to be here!

The Venue

With their ceremony set up on the soft sandy beach overlooking the ocean, it was something out of a dream. It’s easy to see just by looking at these two that they are “meant to be”! And we’re so glad we could be part of their wedding day! This wedding venue has the perfect set up, not only for a couple to get married but also for wedding photos. After taking portraits with our sister company, our newlyweds enjoyed the Luau at Paradise Cove with their wedding guests. Talk about an amazing experience, and convenient too! Win, win!

Surprising Loved Ones ~ Sherri & Craig’s Oahu Beach Elopement

We had the best time helping Sherri and Craig plan their Oahu Beach Elopement, especially since they were keeping their wedding a surprise! These two told their families they were coming to Hawaii on vacation, but didn’t mention anything about getting married. And after being here for two weeks, they will return home where they can celebrate with loved ones!

We love that they were able to keep their Oahu Beach Elopement intimate and enjoy a quiet honeymoon here in paradise after! We seriously cannot think of a better way to start a marriage. Surprise Wedding ~ Aixa & Gabriel’s Oahu Beach Elopement

Gabriel actually surprised Aixa with this Oahu Beach Elopement, and we loved helping him plan every detail to surprise his lovely bride! He’d been planning everything throughout the past few months all without her knowing. And she was so shocked and happy that of course, this sweet gesture brought her to tears!

It’s safe to say this is an occasion neither of them will ever forget. We know we sure won’t! It’s not every day we get to be part of such a special Oahu Beach Elopement, and we are honored we got to celebrate with this happy couple. To make things even more exciting they’re expecting their first child together in October, and couldn’t be more thrilled!

A Special Date ~ Maryann & Rick’s Oahu Beach Wedding

Being part of Maryann and Rick’s Oahu Beach Wedding was such a sweet experience. For starters, it was an absolutely beautiful day! But to make it even better, this couple got married on our bride’s parent’s 50th wedding anniversary! How special is that?!

From the moment Maryann made her entrance with her mom and dad, we knew this would be a ceremony to remember. And it definitely was! We could tell by the way Rick looked at his bride that she truly is the love of his life. And it’s obvious Maryann feels the same way about her groom 🙂 . Oahu Wedding Coordinators – Inspirational Dream Shoot in Hawaii

As Oahu wedding coordinators it is incredibly fun to create gorgeous wedding inspirational shoots. We love showing future clients just what is possible by adding a few individual touches to their weddings in Oahu.

Feast your eyes on this gorgeous Oahu beach wedding on Waimanalo Beach in East Oahu.

Why an Inspirational Shoot?

From time to time we set up a styled shoot with models to show what’s achievable for weddings in Oahu. Inspirational shoots are a great way to see available options for floral, clothing styles, wedding locations and time of day. Oahu beach weddings are beautiful without extra decor, but for the person who wants something extra, there are lots of options.

Breathtaking Wedding Floral

Our company values sustainable practices so we were in love with the idea of using only locally sourced florals. Floral Designer Debbie Hemingway came through with this fantastic bougainvillea dream arrangement. Bougainvillea grows wildly all over Hawaii and comes in these amazing vibrant colors. It is also very fickle, so it must be picked right before it is used in any arrangements. The bouquet was made from dried bougainvillea to ensure it looked good for the full shoot and stood up to the hot sun.

Timing of the Wedding is Important

We started this wedding shoot at the same time we would start a morning wedding. We wanted to show off the kind of light our clients can expect at that time of day. Because of the exceptionally gorgeous day on the morning of the shoot, we were able to show off Waimanalo Bay beach in all its glory. Waimanalo Bay offers towering mountains in the distance and unreal aqua watercolor.

We loved the way the hot pink and coral in the bougainvillea stood out against the aqua water. You can only get that color blue in the early part of the day, as the sun gets more overhead the blues of the water get softer.

Wedding Attire

For the bride’s wardrobe, we kept it simple with a fitted lace dress by Alexis. We procured the dress from Rent the Runway which had a great selection. We love the concept of using Rent the Runway for your wedding clothing. Rent the Runway makes fashion accessible to all and is a more sustainable option than buying a dress you will only wear once. For our groom, we scored stylish navy pants, light blue shirt, and floral print blue tie from our favorite store for bargains, Nordstrom Rack. Who doesn’t like one-stop shopping at great deals!?

Wedding Hair & Make-UP

Our friends at Reveal Hair and Make-Up did such a great job with the hair and makeup. We loved the idea of a bold lip to tie in the bright bougainvillea floral arrangements. The loose braid hairstyle kept the hair out of our model’s face and was perfect for the shoot! Beaches in Hawaii are notoriously windy so a manageable hairstyle is a must.

Our sister company Karma Hill Photography knocked it out of the park with their signature soft, airy, cinematic style. The airy photographic feel accentuated the vibrant color of the floral and light-colored beach sand contrasts. As Oahu wedding coordinators we believe quality photography is of the utmost importance. She said it gave her a new appreciation for what clients feel like on their wedding day. Tim was such a great sport and took the day off from work to start his modeling career 🙂 .
