Have you ever heard of high school sweethearts who went the distance and got married? Well, that’s exactly what happened with Josh and Samantha! They met in World History class in high school, and after almost a decade together, they tied the knot at their Oahu venue wedding!

Samantha was in love with the island when she visited with her mom, and she thought, “I’d love to get married here one day!” Since Josh’s family has roots in Oahu, he and Samantha knew it was the perfect place to celebrate their love story. It was the icing on the cake, and a dream come true!

Their big day at Paradise Cove was an intimate and laid-back affair, full of love and happiness. The fresh green and tropical colors of their beach wedding perfectly complemented the island’s natural splendor.

As they exchanged their vows on the sandy beach surrounded by their loved ones, Josh and Samantha looked so natural and at ease. Their love shines through every photograph from their wedding day!

After their sweet Oahu venue wedding ceremony, our happy newlyweds snuck off with our photographer to capture a few inimate moments by the water’s edge. Samantha and Josh are so ready for their future together after almost ten years of dating! (A lot of that was long distance too!) Once Josh is finished his commitment to the Air Force, they are hoping to move back closer to family to start a family! But for now, they embraced the present moment and their newlywed bliss!

A Place to Start Their Forever

Jason & Jodie are a joyful couple, always ready to share a laugh and find adventure. So marrying in Hawaii seemed like a natural choice. So many details needed to come together: song choices, guest lists, vacation plans, color pallet. But first, they needed to find the perfect place.

After some research, they decided a Kualoa Ranch Secret Island would be perfect for them. This scenic spot became a place where all their other wedding dreams could come true. It was a unique experience for their guests, who could enjoy this hidden gem of a wedding venue. It allowed everyone to sit comfortably for the ceremony without worrying about beachgoers and permitting restrictions.

And the natural beauty of this place allowed Jason & Jodie to create a simple yet meaningful plan that was true to who they are as a couple.

When these two lovebirds were planning their wedding, what mattered most was something simple and stress-free. So naturally, Hawaii came to mind thanks to its relaxed, easygoing lifestyle, and Shelby and Jeff just love Oahu! So after stumbling across our company, an Oahu venue wedding felt just right! For The Rest Of Our Lives

For a bit of backstory on our lovely couple, Shelby is a therapist for autistic kids, while Jeff works in construction. They don’t have kids yet, but they are looking forward to starting a family in the near future! And what better way to start than with a beautiful wedding ceremony in the heart of Waikiki at the Chapel at Waikiki Lea!

The couple exchanged vows in the chapel under the majestic arches, creating a dramatic backdrop for their wedding photos. It was an intimate and family-orientated celebration, exactly what they had hoped for! The candles and lanterns added a romantic touch to the ceremony…

Afterward, we ventured out to the gardens and the serene waterfall for their romantic newlywed portraits. The peaceful waterfall and lush foliage created a magical setting for our new Mr. & Mrs. Welling! In addition, the architectural details around the property added another layer of romance and privacy to their first moments as husband and wife…

As you can see, we just love this venue because it offers both a private tropical setting and the option of a more traditional chapel ceremony. So it’s no wonder Shelby and Jeff chose it for their Oahu venue wedding – it’s the best of both worlds!

Visions of Hawaii

Jessica & Andrew traveled from Vancouver, Canada, for their Oahu Destination Wedding. Covid had put any vacation plans on hold, and they were waiting to visit Hawaii as soon as possible. Once they got engaged last October, they knew that combining a much-needed vacation and a small wedding would be perfect for them.

They booked our Royal Hawaiian Golf Club Package, which includes everything needed for a small and scenic wedding. We loved working with Jessica & Andrew, from the moment they reached out until we sent them off as newlyweds.

A Dreamy Wedding Day

We love how Jessica & Andrew were so sweet and in love. They’ve been together for over eight years but still seem like fresh love birds. We know they’ll be able to carry that joy and discovery into their marriage, which will lead to a lifetime of happiness!

Jessica & Andrew decided to say their own vows to each other as part of the ceremony, and it had us all in tears. Thanks to the small group and personalized touches, we really got to know this couple and feel like we were a special part of their day. We can’t stop gushing over how much we love this incredible Oahu Destination wedding.

They had a stunning ceremony and amazing photography, but there was one thing missing: their snuggly fur baby Theodore. He was definitely happy when Jessica & Andrew got home, even if they could have stayed in Hawaii for a few more days!

Lindsay & Matthew’s wedding in Oahu was so beautiful, and their love story warms our hearts. Rev. Kimo officiated a faith-based ceremony for the sweet couple, who were joined by a small group of family. When they started planning their wedding, they dreamed of a relaxing event in a beautiful setting. We are so glad we could help make that happen for them!

“I Do” Again

Lindsay & Matthew had a wedding in Oahu 13 years ago. Since then, they have had two adorable children who are their pride and joy. But they also experienced challenges that led them down different paths. Some things are simply meant to be, though. And so, as they grew up, they also grew to find themselves in love again.

Now they returned to Hawaii to marry again, this time with a better understanding of themselves and each other. We’ve seen a lot of great couples, and we can tell when a love is extra special. Lindsay & Matthew have an extra special bond that is made to weather the storms and bring joy to the entire family.

We’re so glad we witnessed this ceremony and this incredible relationship.

Sacred Vows at Secret Island

Secret Island is one of our favorite Oahu wedding venues. It’s a private sandy beach at Kualoa Ranch. It features calm water, tall palm trees, and scenic mountain views. This location is so secluded that you must take a special ferry to the ceremony site. What a magical way to bookend your wedding in Oahu!

After their ceremony, Lindsay & Matthew took some portraits around the venue. There are so many great photo ops at Secret Island that we could have stayed for hours. But before long, it was time to send the newlyweds off to celebrate. So we got some final shots of them at the ferry landing and bid them a warm aloha!

Irene and Daniel hoped their Oahu Micro wedding would be relaxed, quaint, and elegant. It was all that plus take-your-breath-away gorgeous! With just a few loved ones watching on, the ceremony at The Royal Hawaiian Golf Club had lush tropical backdrops and a couple who are head over heels in love.

We are all about this adorable first look! Daniel’s expression when he sees the love of his life is priceless! Irene looked phenomenal in a princess-cut gown with a plunging neckline all pulled together with a beautiful flower crown. When it was time for the ceremony, Irene’s two sweet children led the way for our couple. Even the exquisite backdrop of the Oahu mountain ranges couldn’t compete with the beauty of this ceremony. 

Our Couple’s Story

Our bride shares their story: “We met in passing over a year before we started dating. Daniel was a travel nurse in my unit and we worked opposite shifts; he literally saw me at my worst (night-shift 12 hrs..NOT cute).  We never really spoke until a co-worker reintroduced us and we never stopped since.  We dated for more than 3 years and he finally proposed in his home state of Alabama. It was perfectly set up at the end of a pier. My parents were a surprise and his family was around as he got down on one knee.” How sweet is that?!

We all looked forward to Samantha & Arron’s Hawaii Destination Wedding for a long time. After postponing from spring 2020, the sweet couple was so patient as they waited for the right time to say “I Do.” The day finally came, and it was an absolute dream! Surrounded by a small group of loved ones, Samantha & Arron wed under swaying palm trees, just steps away from the ocean. Check out some of their photos!

Paradise Cove Luau: A Hawaii Destination Wedding Venue

When Samantha & Arron decided to have their wedding in Oahu, they needed the perfect location! We helped them select Paradise Cove Luau in Ko Olina. In the evening, this is home to a vibrant and exciting luau, but during the day we’re able to use the space for wedding ceremonies!

Their ocean-side lawn is close enough to the beach that the newlyweds could get great photos with their toes in the sand while still having the ceremony in a more quiet area. So they got the best of both worlds for their Hawaii Destination Wedding. The tropical green ceremony site was the perfect fit for the lovely and laid-back pair, and we love how their photos turned out!

A Growing Family

Samantha & Arron were work friends who fell in love! Arron proposed on Christmas Day, and then it was time to start planning a wedding. Both of them had been to Oahu before and love Hawaii, so a Hawaii destination wedding seemed like the perfect choice!

While we didn’t get to meet Samantha & Arron as soon as we hoped, we had even more to celebrate once the wedding day finally arrived! Their sweet son Kristof is cuter than ever, and he’s going to be a big brother soon! Samantha was a glowing hapai bride, and Arron is such a joyful dad. We can’t wait to see their family grow!

Picture-Perfect Memories

After the ceremony, it was time to get some portraits with the beautiful couple! Not only is it a chance to get some awesome pictures, but it’s also a chance for the newlyweds to slow down and and get some quiet time together before rejoining their guests.

Elysia and Trevor’s Oahu venue wedding on the sandy lawn of Paradise Cove Luau was filled with light, love, and that special excitement that comes with destiny in the making. Friends and family watched on as our beautiful couple made a commitment based on love and honor while the mellow Hawaiian ocean lapped in the backdrop. It was a heavenly day.

Elysia entered with her arms linked with her father and step-father. Looking radiant, Elysia wore a simple yet elegant lace gown, as her hair fell in perfect waves down her shoulders. The ceremony was joyous as our couple exchanged vows and Hawaiian leis to solidify their union together. 

Following the “I do’s,” it was time to celebrate! The team at Karma Hill Photography made great use of the location, finding gorgeous spots of greenery and tropical beach backdrops. One of the many perks of having an Oahu venue wedding is the sheer variety of scenic elements. Elysia and Trevor seemed right at home.
