As the sun worked its way toward calling it a day, we had the pleasure of meeting Tiffany and Steve for their Beach Wedding in Oahu. Enjoying an intimate escape, the darling duo were floating on air as they reveled in the romance of their special day. Standing beside the swaying sea, they followed along with the sweet words that would find the next chapter of their life beginning. Making the promises that will carry them through the decades to come, they were more than ready to take this step forward together.

Blessed with a beautiful night, the light was lovely as the  day began to fade. With the sea sporting a gorgeous shade of blue-green, the South Pacific never looked better. The dramatic cut of the coastline made for a stunning backdrop as our fabulous new friends found their happily ever after. With their kids on hand to share in the happiness, Anna and Danny were floating on cloud nine as they enjoyed their Oahu Vow Renewal. With the serene setting unfolding around them at Yokohama Beach, the darling duo joined hands and hearts as they reaffirmed their commitment to each other on a lovely summer evening. Dapper looking in blue, the gentlemen looked incredible as they stood with their backs to the turquoise sea. Visions in white, the gals were the portrait of beach bridal perfection as they made their way to where the guys stood waiting.

It was an incredible evening made all the better by these smiling faces. Pure hearts and happy laughter rang out on the Hawaiian breeze as our fabulous family celebrated together. It was a bright morning on the shores of Waimanalo beach, but the smiles of Jentry & DJ’s were even brighter for their Oahu Beach Elopement. They couldn’t have asked for a more perfect morning of soft blues of the Pacific, a sky laced with white clouds, and the warm sand cascading between their toes. An exciting first look started the beginning moments just before the ceremony took off and the look on DJ’s face tells it all! Jentry is absolutely stunning alongside her handsome groom!!

Rev. Ryan and his soothing words happily pronounced this beautiful couple into newlywedded bliss. That’s when the fun began! We loved watching this couple share sweet cake-lipped kisses and just watching them be themselves together. When you see these two laughing with one another, embrace each other with such comfort, and having the time of their lives, we know they have the brightest future to look forward to. Before adjourning to our beautiful bride’s aunt’s house to continue photos, we first made the most of the lovely beach setting where the two said ‘I Do.’ As the romance danced on the breeze, the moods were light and genuine happiness easy to come by. Soft morning light cascaded down upon the pair as they joined hands, hearts, and futures on the smooth white sand. Following along with Rev. June’s kind words, they took the next steps forward into their new life. Exchanging vows, and making promises that will carry them through the years to come, this beautiful bride and her gorgeous groom were on cloud nine as they proclaimed their love for one another.

As the picture perfect sea shimmered near by, the trees swayed over head. It was a breathtaking scene that couldn’t have been more perfect. Clouds provided the natural filter a photographer dreams about. With a flowing dress stunning at the beach, Erin was a vision while the breeze teased her hemline. Armed with a Boho Chic bouquet, it was just the right touch of pastel tones to compliment the look. A beautiful face framed by beach-ready waves in her hair, Dion couldn’t take his eyes off his stunning bride. We absolutely adored getting to know these two and loved watching their sweet interactions. There are many shows, bridal magazines and blogs that help brides find the perfect dress for any occasion, but what about the grooms? Many find it challenging figuring out what to wear and to find just the right look at a more non-traditional Hawaii Wedding. Well, we are here to help you get just the right look for you! We want you to look amazing at your Oahu Wedding!

The great thing about a beach wedding is you can make it as casual or formal as you want! The main rule for grooms is to be at the same level of dress as your bride. If your bride is wearing a formal gown, khaki shorts and a button-down shirt are going to look underdressed next to her. Conversely, If she is wearing a simple cotton dress and you show up in a tux, you are going to look like you are trying to upstage her (maybe you are, but that’s between you two! 🙂

WHAT TO WEAR TIPS FOR THE GROOM

“Look Put Together, Not Super Formal”

Not every groom wants to wear a full suit on the beach, and we get it, it’s hot! So here are a few ideas for looking sharp without having to wear a full suit.

1. Wear a vest with slacks, you can go with or without a tie. For bonus points, you can choose a tie or shirt color that will coordinate with your bride’s flower choice.

2. Wear a suit jacket, but no tie. It’s nice to have the option to take off the jacket and no tie around your neck will keep you cooler!

3. Suspenders! A little retro charm to take your look to the next level, but not as hot as a vest or jacket.

WHAT TO WEAR TIPS FOR GROOMS THAT WANT TO LOOK MORE FORMAL

1. Layer – vest + suit jacket, that way you can take off the jacket for some photos but still look great!

If you are in the military, wear your dress uniform! It looks amazing in photos and everyone loves a man in uniform!

3. Break out the Tux! The tuxedo is the “classic” grooms attire and if you are on the more traditional side, or just love dressing up than this is the look for you! It does look quite dashing on the beach and you don’t have to stick to black!

OTHER STYLE TIPS FOR GROOMS

Hair: Be sure to get a haircut just before you leave home or just before the wedding if you live in Hawaii, you don’t want to look shaggy on your wedding day!  Some salons offer “grooming” for the groom, this can include a great shave and hairstyle so you look your very best.

Hands: Put the MAN in manicure, there will be close up photos of your hands with the rings on and you don’t want to be staring at that one hangnail for the rest of your life in photos. Be sure to have clean and well-groomed hands and nails as well.

Accessories: Accessories can be fun for guys too and can bring a little fun or personality to your wedding. Big Star Wars Fan? Maybe some Death Star cufflinks? Have a special family heirloom like a watch? Bring it! Maybe a pocket square with a fun print of the breed of dog you have at home, find ways to really show who YOU are in your attire.

Fit: Be sure to try on your clothing well in advance of the wedding and have anything tailored that does not fit perfectly, like too long pants or a jacket that is just a little too tight.

We know that weddings are usually all about the bride, but we want to make sure that you are the perfect arm candy for her and the more effort you put into your attire, the better your wedding photos will look!

With loved ones flanking them, they exchanged the vows that would find them declared partners for life and sealed the moment with a kiss.

While the mysterious mountains held court in the back ground, the sea teased the shore beside them. With a soft cloud cover creating a dreamy scene, the lovebirds strolled hand in hand down the perfect beach and reveled in the romance of the moment. Ecstatic to begin the next chapter of their lives, they were all smiles and the joy was practically tangible. Thank you, Ann and Khaled, for letting our team capture the magic of this moment. What an honor it was getting to know you both and share in the happiness of this time in your lives.
