The afternoon was flooded with sunshine and crisp air during Lauryn and Michael’s Oahu Wedding on the shore of Kualoa’s Secret Island. Our couple took the first steps to marriage surrounded by loving friends and family and the lush greenery of the island.

Lauryn and Michael’s Oahu wedding was pure elegance and simplicity. With smiles all around, Lauryn’s parents walked her down the sandy aisle as Michael waited patiently.

Officiating the ceremony was the bride’s own uncle, and he knew exactly what to say to make her laugh on her special day. How cute is her smile?!

Both Lauryn and Michael are employed by the Army; she’s a civil engineer and he works at Tripler. Because Lauryn has been so busy at work, Michael took it upon himself to arrange the wedding details. He took the reins, and Lauryn was able to relax and await the big day. What a special wedding gift!

Following the big “I do,” our team at Karma Hill Photography whisked our couple away for romantic and fun photos with the gorgeous scenery of Secret Island in the backdrop. From gentle valleys to aqua oceans and rustic greenery, there was no shortage of beautiful locales to frame our couple against. And they were so adventurous and along for the ride! We had a great time sharing laughs and enjoying Lauryn and Michael’s special moment with them.

At last, we set sail over the ancient fish pond to return our couple safely to society, and our team snapped some final shots of Lauryn and Michael in front of the sailboat. It was the perfect end to a gorgeous and relaxed ceremony. It was a joy to send off our new husband and wife and such a rewarding journey to turn their dream wedding into reality.

Mahalo, Lauryn and Michael, for trusting us with your ceremony. We wish you all the joy and love in the decades ahead.

Waimanalo Bay Beach is always beautiful, but it’s especially so when a couple as sweet and in love as Zi and Eric are on the shore. The evening was breezy and shaded for their Oahu Beach Elopement, which created a comfortable atmosphere and soft lighting. Eric has had the joy of visiting the island regularly for the last thirty years, and now he has the immense pleasure to share that joy with the love of his life.

Kahu Kawena opened the ceremony with welcoming and heartfelt words. The love shared between our couple was so clear. Zi and Eric tightly held hands throughout the ceremony and deeply gazed into each other’s eyes. When asked, Eric had said he hoped their Oahu Beach Elopement would be loving, happy, relaxed, and beautiful. We can officially say it checked all the boxes!
There was no limit to the happiness on the shore that day, and our beautiful couple was able to simply relax and be in the moment. What more could anyone hope for on their wedding day? We’re so thrilled to help make their dreams come true.

Zi and Eric met on the web and chatted for a little while to get to know each other. They knew their typing skills had chemistry, but a few weeks later they felt it was time to test out their person-to-person chemistry. They’d planned for a three-mile hike… but then plans changed! That three-mile hike turned into a twelve-hour date with lunch AND dinner!
From that moment on, they were practically inseparable, and their love has only grown deeper and sweeter since. Just look at these incredible shots from Karma Hill Photography. The love between these two is almost tangible.

Our couple had first planned to get engaged in Oahu, but when they thought about it, they realized they wanted to get engaged sooner and elope in Oahu instead. So while they were close to home, Eric took Zi to her favorite beach in Half Moon Bay. “Once there, we poured our hearts out to each other,” Eric said. “Then I got down on my knee and proposed, and she made me the happiest man by immediately answering ‘Yes!’” And we can’t wait for Zi and Eric to have even more adventures as husband and wife!

Congratulations Zi and Eric! We wish you all the very best in the decades ahead!

DeAnn and Brad had planned a large wedding but had to cancel due to the pandemic. So it just made sense to reschedule a relaxed Oahu wedding in July while visiting Brad’s family on the island. And it turned out to be more than simply relaxing! The day was vibrant and filled with love, love, love.

Set on the shore of Waiʻalae Beach Park with leggy palms and lush greenery, DeAnn and Brad’s growing children and family watched on as our couple tied their lives together. Wearing a short and spunky off-white gown with a demi-train, DeAnn looks right at home against the beautiful scenery. We love Brad’s sophisticated laidback look–but most of all, we love those sweet smiles they’re both wearing!

DeAnn and Brad each have two wonderful children and are excited to start their lives as a blended family. Brad grew up on Oahu and DeAnn feels the North Shore is the best place in the world. So saying their “I do’s” on the island was more than a beautiful destination, it was coming home.
Our couple met on Match, dated for four years, and got engaged at Cannon Beach in Oregon. Together they enjoy cycling, hiking, Korean dramas on Netflix, and spending time together. Keep scrolling for more of their beautiful day!

Mahalo nui loa, DeAnn and Brad, for choosing us to coordinate your wedding. We wish you only the very best in the years ahead!

Last week we joined Auna & John on the calm shores of Paradise Cove for their Hawaii Beach Elopement. It was the ideal wedding for such an easygoing couple! With family on the island and the backdrop already decorated by Mother Nature, our couple felt Oahu was the perfect place for a low-key elopement.

With a handful of loved ones watching on, Auna and John had the simple and easygoing wedding of their dreams. Set on the golden sands of Paradise Cove Beach, the day was nothing short of beautiful. The sun drifted low on the horizon and highlighted the ocean with golden light. Our couple dressed for the occasion with laidback styles perfectly fitted for a Hawaii Beach Elopement! Who needs shoes when the sand is this soft!

We loved Auna’s short and playful wedding dress. It was a great choice for a day filled with so many smiles. Her fern and orchid flower crown topped it off and added an elegant tropical touch. Speaking of touch, how touching are these two?! Auna and John’s sweet smiles and intimate looks as they exchanged vows spoke volumes of the deep love they share.

Auna and John like to say they met “in the wild.” There were no dating profiles for these two, just a serendipitous night out with friends! Their chemistry was immediate, and they’ve been inseparable ever since! When the moment was right, John proposed in the comfort of their home, which was exactly what Auna had hoped for.
Now they keep themselves entertained by exploring new places to eat, working out together, and playing with their two cute fur kittens. Scroll on for more of Auna and John’s beautiful day!

Congratulations, Auna and John! Thank you for choosing us to coordinate your Hawaii beach elopement. We wish you all the happiness and joy in the years ahead!

Perla & Jorge woke up early last Wednesday to get dressed up, hit the road, and have an adventurous Oahu beach elopement. Waimanalo Beach is especially beautiful in the morning – it’s a long stretch of sand with glistening waters and amazing views. Perla & Jorge were happy and ready for an adventure. Besides, what better way to start your day than becoming husband & wife?

This hard-working couple loves visiting new places, so they decided to have an Oahu elopement even though they’ve never visited the islands before. They stayed in Waikiki and were having the best time exploring the island. Now that they’ve gotten married here, they’ll want to visit again and again!
Good thing Karma HIll Photography was there to capture the entire morning. Now they have amazing photos to look back on, and of course they’ll share them with all their friends & family who were there in spirit!

Perla & Jorge had a a small group in person with them. Just enough to help carry the rings , hold the bouquet, and cheer them on! Everyone dressed so nicely, proving that beach weddings can be formal occasions!
They included their own custom vows in the ceremony, which Rev. Kimo whole-heartedly officiated! Perla & Jorge dreamed that their Hawaii Beach Elopement would be fun, elegant & outdoorsy. We think that it was all that and more!

Back home in Texas, Perla & Jorge have 4 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 chickens. They must have felt right at home here in Oahu, where chickens roam around freely! I’m sure they were missing all their fur-babies but loving this chance to relax in paradise.
These two met a few years ago thanks to a mutual friend. It didn’t take long for them to begin falling in love. And then last year, Jorge proposed! He popped the question in Lake Tahoe, just before hopping in a hot air balloon! What an adventure!
Perla & Jorge have so much adventure ahead of them. We’re so grateful we got to be a part of their Oahu beach elopement, and we hope to see them on the islands again soon!

Congratulations, Perla & Jorge!!

Michelle & Anthony traveled from California for their Hawaii beach elopement. Holding hands at the calm shores of Waialae Beach, they vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. We loved being part of this beautiful moment!
We also loved meeting such an awesome couple! Michelle is an engineer – her job is to make sure rockets launch safely. She is a stargazer who practices martial arts and teaches self-defense. Anthony is an army vet who skateboards and also practices martial arts. He’s becoming a woodworker and teaches sword techniques. Individually, they each are so cool. Together they’re amazing!
These spiritual souls met at their Dojo as they were just starting to practice martial arts, and they fell in love because they share the same beliefs and values. Anthony proposed at one of their favorite spots for watching the moon, planets, and stars. How appropriate that their wedding date fell halfway between the summer solstice and June’s full moon! Scroll down to their sunset pictures and see how the moon made its own appearance at their Hawaii beach elopement!

Anthony and Michelle chose not to see each other before the ceremony. We love it when couples choose traditional elements for their Hawaii beach elopement! Karma Hill Photography captured their first look and emotional ceremony with Kahu Kawena.
The tide was high on this beautiful evening, so we picked a quiet spot right off the water’s edge for them to say “I Do.” After the ceremony, the newlyweds walked along the shoreline and enjoyed portraits as the sun set. Then they headed off for a celebration dinner in Waikiki. They were already having a great vacation, and now it was time for them to enjoy their honeymoon! Michelle & Anthony are hard workers who deserve a relaxing and fun time in paradise.
This was a memorable Hawaii beach elopement with a beautiful couple! Congratulations, Michelle & Anthony — Here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness!

When Amanda & David arrived to the beach for their Oahu Destination Wedding, we were so impressed by how kind and happy they were! A sweet couple enjoying a great time in Hawaii with their family. They looked amazing too!
We love Amanda’s beach bride style, and her tropical bouquet added the perfect touch to their look. David’s blue shirt ended up matching the water perfectly. Barefoot and sun-kissed, these two were made for a beach wedding!

Reverend Kawena guided Amanda & David through a lovely ceremony. Most of our couples exchange leis with each other, but these two also had leis for all their guests! It was a great way to include their family in the ceremony. Their two kids were great too – excited and ready to help with anything. We’re so glad we got to meet them!
The group was staying in Waikiki, the perfect area for a fun family vacation. Waimanalo Beach provided a more quiet atmosphere for a relaxed ceremony, so it was worth the drive. It also features great lighting and scenery. Check out all the great photos Karma Hill Photography captured for them there!

Amanda & David chose a destination wedding in Oahu because they didn’t want to stress over a big event. After booking their vacation here, they realized it would be perfect to get married here too!
They had been engaged for over 8 years, but they acted like a newly engaged couple — totally smitten with each other! After their barefoot ceremony, they got lots of romantic portraits all around Waimanalo Beach. They even got in the water for some trash-the-dress shots! Scroll down to see Amanda looking like a mermaid in the waves!

Congratulations Amanda & David We are so glad we got to be a part of your Oahu Destination Wedding!!

Sarah & Anthony traveled from California for their beach wedding in Oahu. Turquoise blue water and gentle sea breezes greeted this beautiful couple and their guests as they arrived to the beach. They even had an ukulele musician playing Hawaiian songs for them!
Waimanalo Beach is a remote location away from the hotels, so the group all rode there together in a party bus. They were all having a great time and we loved being a part of this beach wedding in Oahu!
Sarah arrived separately so that Anthony wouldn’t see her before the ceremony started. Their onsite coordinator from Simple Oahu Wedding helped get everyone in place, and made sure that the bridal reveal was a super special moment. Karma Hill Photography was there to capture it all!

Reverend Kimo Taylor included some Hawaiian traditions in their ceremony. He used strands of shells and Kukui nuts for a handfasting, led them in a lei exchange, and offered a blessing in Hawaiian. The newlyweds even had their first dance to a Hawaiian song! We loved sharing some of our island’s traditions with everyone at the wedding!

Sarah wore a tropical flower crown and a dramatic veil for a look that was both elegant and beachy! After the ceremony, the newlyweds took pictures all around Waimanalo Beach. Their portrait time gave them the chance to slow down and enjoy their beautiful surroundings! Karma Hill Photography also made sure to get some special shots that highlighted Sarah’s bridal look.
Eventually the sun went down and it was time to send the happy couple on their way. We hope we to welcome them back to Hawaii before too long. After all, in Hawaii we don’t say goodbye. Instead we say A Hui Hou (until we meet again).
Congratulations Sarah & Anthony! It was such a joy to be a part of your beach wedding in Oahu!
