As nurses, both Julros and Rex lead lives dedicated to care and compassion, balancing the stress and unpredictability of their jobs with their love for sunshine, water, nature, and, of course, each other. Their laid-back nature, a necessity borne out of their profession, perfectly encapsulated the essence of their Oahu elopement—simple, fun, and utterly them! In a picturesque beach setting on the beautiful island of Oahu, Demi, a successful businessman in the paper manufacturing industry, and Cielle, who manages an agency catering contractual employees to Demi’s company, gathered with their children and joint families to celebrate their vows of eternal love at their Oahu beach wedding. With their shared love for video games, books, and all things nerdy (in their own words!), their connection grew stronger by the day. And when sparks flew on a dating app, destiny had something extraordinary in store for them.

Their first date was nothing short of magical. Nerdvana, a coffee shop that truly lived up to its name, witnessed the birth of their love story. They talked for hours, engrossed in each other’s stories and passions. From that moment on, it was clear that they were meant to be together!

Fast forward to last year, during a vacation to Disneyland. It was there, amidst the enchantment and joy, that James seized the perfect opportunity to pop the question. Originally planning to get married in Maui, the wildfires led them to change their plans and embrace the neighboring island of Oahu. Our coordinators made the transition seamless and easy for our happy pair. And what a breathtaking decision it turned out to be! As they stood on the serene Waialae Beach, the sun casting its golden hues upon them, Sara and James radiated pure happiness.

Both retired Air Traffic Controllers with grown children from previous marriages had experienced life’s ups and downs before finding each other. Their common interests in saltwater fishing and travel brought them closer.

Love has a way of surprising us when we least expect it, and Mamie and Tom’s Oahu elopement is a perfect testament to that. Mamie, a fitness enthusiast and LA-based Pilates instructor, and Tom, a writer for DC Comics and animated TV shows, found each other through the twists and turns of fate.

Their love story began two years ago when they met on a dating app. Little did they know that their first date would be an unforgettable one. Mamie’s mischievous dog decided to leave a lasting impression by playfully giving Tom a little nip – a “love at first bite” encounter. Mamie worried that this unexpected incident might scare Tom away, but to her delight, he came back for more, proving that their connection was unbreakable!

Fast forward to their engagement, where Tom placed the ring on the Christmas tree, initially claiming it to be a “promise to get married” ring due to some cold feet from a previous marriage. But he quickly confessed that it was indeed an engagement ring!! Mamie couldn’t help but fall in love with the ring even more when she learned that Tom’s uncle, a jeweler, had expertly cut the diamond into the shape of a heart – a symbol that holds extra special meaning for her as she was born on Valentine’s Day!
