Last week, we had the pleasure of helping two locals tie the knot! Hawaii has a special place in Kalei and Chris’ hearts because they grew up here. Since this island is their home, they knew an Oahu wedding would be the perfect way to tie the knot! We can’t imagine this beautiful couple getting married any other way. Keep scrolling to experience this event for yourself!

Oahu Wedding

Kalei and Chris’ wedding was simple, relaxing, and intimate! Our delightful couple and their eight guests arrived at the shores of Wai’alae Beach Park together. Before anything started, our stunning bride and handsome groom had their first looks. It was as if Kalei and Chris were the only two on the beach — it was so magical! Then Reverend Kimo Taylor began his heartwarming sermon. During the ceremony, Karma Hill Photography captured so many romantic shots! In every photo, you can see their looks of adoration and blissful glow.

The Breathtaking Oahu Wedding

Setting the scene for this event was Wai’alae Beach Park in Honolulu! Although this spot can be busy, we found a secluded area along the shore for the wedding. The lofty palm trees, beige sand, and foamy cerulean waves created an enchanting backdrop. You can see how impeccable the weather was as well. There was light cloud coverage in the sky, so the sunset was radiant! As the sun continued to set, a spectrum of pastel hues dreamily painted the sky.

Our Couple’s Story

Kalei and Chris are an adventurous duo — it was no surprise they had an Oahu wedding on the beach! They got engaged at the top of Yosemite Falls after an eight-hour hike. This moment was extraordinary for them because they visited this spot when they started dating. It was almost as if everything had come full circle! Currently, Chris is a Graphic Installer, while Kalei works for Hawaii’s Department of Education. You can find this lovely couple lounging on the beach in their spare time!

DeAnn and Brad had planned a large wedding but had to cancel due to the pandemic. So it just made sense to reschedule a relaxed Oahu wedding in July while visiting Brad’s family on the island. And it turned out to be more than simply relaxing! The day was vibrant and filled with love, love, love.

The Oahu Wedding

Set on the shore of Waiʻalae Beach Park with leggy palms and lush greenery, DeAnn and Brad’s growing children and family watched on as our couple tied their lives together. Wearing a short and spunky off-white gown with a demi-train, DeAnn looks right at home against the beautiful scenery. We love Brad’s sophisticated laidback look–but most of all, we love those sweet smiles they’re both wearing!

Our Couple’s Story

DeAnn and Brad each have two wonderful children and are excited to start their lives as a blended family. Brad grew up on Oahu and DeAnn feels the North Shore is the best place in the world. So saying their “I do’s” on the island was more than a beautiful destination, it was coming home.

Our couple met on Match, dated for four years, and got engaged at Cannon Beach in Oregon. Together they enjoy cycling, hiking, Korean dramas on Netflix, and spending time together. Keep scrolling for more of their beautiful day!

Michelle & Anthony traveled from California for their Hawaii beach elopement. Holding hands at the calm shores of Waialae Beach, they vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. We loved being part of this beautiful moment!

We also loved meeting such an awesome couple! Michelle is an engineer – her job is to make sure rockets launch safely. She is a stargazer who practices martial arts and teaches self-defense. Anthony is an army vet who skateboards and also practices martial arts. He’s becoming a woodworker and teaches sword techniques. Individually, they each are so cool. Together they’re amazing!

These spiritual souls met at their Dojo as they were just starting to practice martial arts, and they fell in love because they share the same beliefs and values. Anthony proposed at one of their favorite spots for watching the moon, planets, and stars. How appropriate that their wedding date fell halfway between the summer solstice and June’s full moon! Scroll down to their sunset pictures and see how the moon made its own appearance at their Hawaii beach elopement!

Anthony and Michelle chose not to see each other before the ceremony. We love it when couples choose traditional elements for their Hawaii beach elopement! Karma Hill Photography captured their first look and emotional ceremony with Kahu Kawena.

The tide was high on this beautiful evening, so we picked a quiet spot right off the water’s edge for them to say “I Do.” After the ceremony, the newlyweds walked along the shoreline and enjoyed portraits as the sun set. Then they headed off for a celebration dinner in Waikiki. They were already having a great vacation, and now it was time for them to enjoy their honeymoon! Michelle & Anthony are hard workers who deserve a relaxing and fun time in paradise.

This was a memorable Hawaii beach elopement with a beautiful couple! Congratulations, Michelle & Anthony — Here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness!

Oahu Destination Wedding

Having traveled from Texas for their Oahu Destination Wedding, Ashley and Chase were so excited to get married in paradise! And we were so happy to be part of it 🙂 . It was definitely a day to remember, full of so much excitement and love!

Even though these two have known each other since high school, they actually reconnected many years later as adults and fell in love. And we are so glad they did! Our favorite part of their Oahu Destination Wedding was when this bride and groom got in the water at the end of the evening for a few fun wedding portraits. We love it! Thank you, Ashley and Chase, for trusting Simple Oahu Wedding to help plan such a special occasion. Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

Alexis and her father shared a special moment as he walked her down the sandy beach aisle at the start of this Oahu Beach Wedding. We love the look in Logan’s eye as he saw his bride approaching! It’s obvious this couple shares a deep and unbreakable bond and we were honored to witness them take this next step in their relationship.

These two chose to say, “I do” at a beautiful Oahu Beach Wedding, this location is absolutely stunning in real life and in photos! I mean how fun are all these palm tree shots? Talk about a tropical setting 🙂 . While the sun was shining, it has been a little cold here in Hawaii so we love that as the evening wound to a close Logan gave his suit jacket to his new wife to help her stay warm. So cute! Thank you, Alexis and Logan, for trusting Simple Oahu Wedding to help plan your special day. Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

Oahu Beach Wedding

Paulina and Kiyeon said, “I do” at an Oahu Beach Wedding right beside the ocean. We love the way this palm tree stood over them at Waialae Beach Park. It created the perfect tropical vibe for this destination ceremony! With their loved ones surrounding them, this bride and groom were excited and ready to get married! It was so special to watch as this couple joined hands and exchanged leis in preparation for becoming husband and wife. Aren’t they darling together?!

Paulina chose a stunning wedding gown that complimented her natural beauty! The lace details and sweet neckline were so romantic and classy. We especially love that she decided to wear her hair in an elegant updo to further show off her dress! With her nails painted perfectly to match her Boho Dream Bouquet, this bride was dressed with style from head to toe. Her groom couldn’t keep his eyes off her during their Oahu Beach Wedding, just as it should be! Thank you, Paulina and Kiyeon, for sharing this special day with Simple Oahu Wedding. Congratulations and Warm Aloha!
