Their love story began back in high school, when Alyssa and Austin, two seemingly opposite individuals, found a connection that would change their lives forever. We are thrilled to share the joyous story of Mary and Steven’s stunning wedding at Crystal Chapel in Oahu. This wonderful couple, born and raised in Sacramento, CA, work at the UCD Medical Center—Mary as a nurse analyst and Steven as a clinical lab scientist. Despite working at the same hospital, their paths didn’t cross until they met on the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. Isn’t fate amazing?

Mary and Steven are proud cat parents to two adorable kitties, Mocha and Nugget. In their free time, they enjoy playing games, working out, watching shows, attending music festivals, and, of course, spending time with their beloved cats. Steven’s proposal to Mary at a beach in San Francisco was a chilly but unforgettable moment, filled with love and a hint of playful sarcasm. But as you’ll see, their Oahu venue wedding was filled with love and light!

Sweet Moments

Their wedding day at Ko’olina Crystal Chapel was nothing short of magical. The gorgeous setting, filled with light and love, made for an unforgettable ceremony. When Steven saw Mary walking down the aisle, his reaction was priceless—his breath was taken away, and tears welled up in his eyes. How sweet is that! The room was filled with an overwhelming sense of joy and happiness, shared by all their guests.

The couple exchanged their vows with sunlight streaming in, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere. After the ceremony, they posed for their newlywed portraits on the lawn, in front of the chapel, and by the water’s edge. The scintillating light made everything look incredibly beautiful! They couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!

Mary’s gown was a dream come true—so romantic and elegant, perfectly complementing the ethereal setting of their wedding at the chapel. And Steven looked equally handsome in his beige suit that matched the natural surroundings! The day was a testament to fate bringing them together, even though they worked at the same hospital. Kyra and Omar knew that a grand traditional wedding wasn’t within their budget, but they still craved a remarkable and memorable experience to share with their families. The idea of a destination wedding combined with a honeymoon in one package seemed like the perfect solution. With Omar having been to Oahu before and Kyra always yearning to explore the island, their choice became crystal clear. Oahu, coupled with the expertise of Simple Oahu Wedding, promised to create an intimate and beautiful ceremony without breaking the bank! And what a day it turned out to be!

Their Story

Their love story began in high school when they met at the tender ages of 15 and 16. Instantly becoming best friends, Kyra and Omar nurtured their connection over the years, even as they pursued other relationships and personal growth. It wasn’t until late 2019 that their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. After a long period of waiting and realizing their true feelings, they became sure about their love for each other.

Kyra and Omar’s engagement was a delightful surprise during a family photoshoot for Christmas cards. Amidst the laughter and excitement, Omar took the opportunity to surprise Kyra with a heartfelt proposal. Their journey towards marriage had already begun, as they had booked their wedding before getting engaged – a testament to their unwavering commitment and love! Their Oahu venue wedding was a dream come true!

The couple was thrilled to celebrate their union at the enchanting Secret Island at Kualoa Ranch. The day itself was nothing short of paradise, with the sun shining brightly and the serene surroundings creating an idyllic atmosphere. Our sweet couple wanted a relaxed and carefree atmosphere for their special day, and their intimate beach ceremony was exactly that. As Oahu locals, Keith and Kathryn knew exactly what they wanted for their special day on the island they call home…

Island In Our Hearts

Our sweet couple, who know the island inside and out, chose Papa’iloa Beach for their Oahu elopement. It’s truly a North Shore gem with its long stretch of sand and weathered rocks showcasing the rugged beauty of the island. The intimate ceremony was held right by the lapping waves… It was such a dreamy setting for their sacred vow exchange, don’t you think? It was simple, elegant, and, most of all, focused on their love story! Keith actually proposed to Kat on a sunset sail in Waikiki, so it was only fitting for them to tie the knot on another stunning piece of paradise they call home!

As they stood together by the shoreline, Keith and Kathryn looked incredibly happy and so in love. The overcast skies made no difference to the love and joy of their big day. This was their day, and they were enjoying every moment of it! Even Keith’s daughter Harlee, who is four years old and lives with the happy couple, was beaming with joy!

Our happy couple’s wedding attire was perfectly simple yet beachy and minimalistic, with Keith donning a classic white shirt and Kathryn wearing an elegant flowy dress that matched the laid-back vibe of their Oahu elopement. These two had no qualms about walking over the rocks to take advantage of the epic views and scenery for their newlywed portraits! One thing we know for sure is Oahu had a hand in their romance, and these moments capture it all!

When these two lovebirds were planning their wedding, what mattered most was something simple and stress-free. So naturally, Hawaii came to mind thanks to its relaxed, easygoing lifestyle, and Shelby and Jeff just love Oahu! So after stumbling across our company, an Oahu venue wedding felt just right! For The Rest Of Our Lives

For a bit of backstory on our lovely couple, Shelby is a therapist for autistic kids, while Jeff works in construction. They don’t have kids yet, but they are looking forward to starting a family in the near future! And what better way to start than with a beautiful wedding ceremony in the heart of Waikiki at the Chapel at Waikiki Lea!

The couple exchanged vows in the chapel under the majestic arches, creating a dramatic backdrop for their wedding photos. It was an intimate and family-orientated celebration, exactly what they had hoped for! The candles and lanterns added a romantic touch to the ceremony…

Afterward, we ventured out to the gardens and the serene waterfall for their romantic newlywed portraits. The peaceful waterfall and lush foliage created a magical setting for our new Mr. & Mrs. Welling! In addition, the architectural details around the property added another layer of romance and privacy to their first moments as husband and wife…

As you can see, we just love this venue because it offers both a private tropical setting and the option of a more traditional chapel ceremony. So it’s no wonder Shelby and Jeff chose it for their Oahu venue wedding – it’s the best of both worlds!
