There was so much love and happiness at Sarah and Michael’s Oahu beach wedding, it felt like it was carried through the wind. Waimanalo set the stage with vibrant aqua waters and the purest white sands. With their children in attendance and a private musician serenading, this was a ceremony flooded with sweetness.

With a tropical breeze in the air, a handsome groom, and two awesome kids awaiting her entrance, Sarah was practically a goddess in white. Wearing a simple yet elegant gown with a bold front slit perfect for the sandy venue, Sarah expertly pulled off beachy sophistication.

We loved how the whole crew’s style pulled together, with the guys in classic suits and the ladies in flowing fabrics. Speaking of the whole crew being pulled together, how adorable are these matching smiles! Keep scrolling for all the sweet moments!

Sarah works in advertising, and Mike work’s in the print industry. It goes without saying, but these two love being creative! They also love being outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, road trips, and finding new favorite food spots.
Our bride tells their story: “I met Mike at my previous job at this Print Shop in Tempe, Arizona. He was in production and I was in sales, so it was a perfect yin and yang. Also, he fell in love with me the moment I walked in, ha! We were engaged last summer, just outside my hometown of Yuma. We took a jeep ride out with the kids to the middle of the desert in a spot called the Valley of Names to check out the Neowise comet. The valley of names is a spot where people go out and write their names in the light sand with these burnt, black rocks. A few years prior, Mike and I had written our names out there, next to my family one done a couple of decades earlier. Once we found the spot Mike proposed!”
How sweet is that?! How sweet are these photos?! How sweet is this couple?!

Congratulations, Sarah and Michael! It was truly a joy working with you and your wonderful children. We wish you all the happiness and love in the years ahead!

Vy and Sang’s Oahu Beach Elopement was their Plan C, or as we like to say, “Plan Couldn’t Be Better!” Their big day was initially set for somewhere near their home in Massachusetts. Then the plan was Vegas. But with COVID and all the complications of coordinating, they figured why not Hawaii?! Vy had her work cut out when it came to convincing Sang, and he pulled out his best puppy dog eyes. But soon he agreed that an Oahu Beach Elopement was the best (and most beautiful + least stressful!) way to say “I do.”

Waimanalo Beach set the stage for beauty and simplicity. With lush valleys silhouetted in the backdrop and the glistening ocean cheering them on, Vy and Sang had a wonderful time on the white sand beach of Oahu’s eastern shore.
Vy’s son, Tayen, walked her down the shore where Sang was waiting. Dressed in a show-stealing gown of floral lace and carrying a custom-created bouquet by our friends at Sweet Blossoms Hawaii, Vy is simply gorgeous!

Later in the ceremony, Tayen shared a sentimental speech to congratulate his mom and Sang, who has become the most wonderful stepfather. It was a touching moment of honesty and genuine love. There was no hiding the immense amount of support on the beach during that very special day. This family is truly blessed to have each other.

Vy and Sang met initially through friends while they were both in relationships. Several years later, they were reintroduced and going through individual breakups. It didn’t take long for them to hit it off and realize how much they had in common. In 2014, Sang finally made the first move and made it clear that romance was definitely in the cards.
We love how Vy summed it up: “Our story is literally like a fairy tale with a happy ending. Best friends make the best lovers!” Looking at these photos from Vy and Sang’s Oahu Beach Elopement, and it’s so clear these two love to laugh together and have truly found their person. Keep scrolling for more!

Mahalo nui loa, Vy and Sang, for choosing Simple Oahu Wedding to coordinate your Oahu Beach Elopement. We had a wonderful getting to know you! We wish you only the best in the years ahead!

For their Oahu beach wedding, Candace & Dennis chose to have a small and intimate beach ceremony, and with modern-day technology, we were able to broadcast their big “I do” to friends and family right in their homes! Our Virtually There Package is COVID-safe and allowed Candace and Dennis’ special day to be enjoyed by all. We could almost feel the well-wishes and warm virtual hugs, not to mention the very real chemistry happening on the beach! Just look at that reaction when Dennis sees his gorgeous bride!

Mellow waves and mirrored tide pools set the stage for Candace and Dennis’ Oahu beach wedding. With white sands and a lava rock outcropping, Paradise Cove Beach is the best of the best when it comes to sandy shores on the Leeward side. As the sun set, the southwestern skies came alive with the prettiest rose and cream pastels.

Candace and Dennis met at a music concert with a group of mutual friends. They were both the only aquantance they didn’t know. Candace caught Dennis’ eye right away, but she was totally oblivious. They talked through the night as friends, and soon enough, Cupid did his thing, and the rest is history!
Candace and Dennis live in Oahu and during pre-COVID times, they loved to discover secret beaches and hole-in-the-wall restaurants. They’re proud parents of a French bulldog named Bosco and three guinea pigs (AKA balls of adorableness that squeak in your hand). These two find adventures wherever they go, and we have a feeling that the biggest and sweetest adventures are still ahead of them!

Mahalo nui loa, Candace and Dennis, for trusting us with your beautiful Hawaii Beach Wedding. We wish you all the best in the years ahead!

Nikki and JR are no rookies at this relationship stuff! They’ve been building their life together for the last 10 years and this beautiful wedding in Hawaii is just a new chapter in their book!

Nikki & JR met in high school. JR was a junior and Nikki a sophomore when they met. They have a beautiful 8 year old daughter named Madeline who we absolutely adored! We love the special part she took in their Oahu Venue Wedding. Her love and affection for her parents was just so sweet to capture.

After their beautiful union officiated by Reverend Dennis Chong, Nikki and JR enjoyed some time along the shore of Kualoa Secret Island. The backdrops are just spectacular there and we always enjoy capturing the beauty there. Thank you so much Nikki and JR for choosing Simple Oahu Wedding for your Oahu Venue Wedding! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about your special day!

An Oahu Destination Wedding to remember! Tiffany and Alex popped over from California to have the wedding they’d always imagined. They decided to have a formal processional, with the groom’s mother escorting her son and the bride’s father escorting Tiffany. With flower petals scattered to create a path, the couple made their way to the spot they would become husband and wife. There could not have been a more ideal location for these two to say, “I do”. The grassy landing at Paradise Cove overlooks the Oahu Ocean and beach below, so romantic!
Tiffany’s Custom Bouquet was an elegant focal point for this Oahu Destination Wedding. We are obsessed with how she chose to wear an all-white floral crown with a veil for the final touch on her stunning wedding attire! This isn’t something we see often, and are big fans of this idea. Nicely done, Tiffany! Her beautiful lace wedding gown fit her like a glove, the tulle mermaid skirt created a playful look while still being wedding appropriate. We love how she wore a simple strand of pearls for a subtle bridal effect. Little details like this make all the difference when it comes to creating the wedding you’ve always hoped for! Since it’s evident Tiffany nailed the look of an Oahu Bride, let’s talk for a moment about how Alex rocked it as an Oahu Groom. In a light grey suit with a white button-up shirt and no tie, he was more than ready to marry the love of his life. These two make for one incredible couple and we are honored to have gotten to know them! Thank you, Tiffany and Alex, for trusting the Simple Oahu Wedding team to make all of your dreams come true. We wish you every happiness on the journey ahead! Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

Morgan and Jacob escaped rainy Oregon for their Oahu Wedding! The couple brought lots of personality to this special day and we are sure it is one they will never forget. We love how both Morgan’s mom and dad escorted her down the aisle, showing their support and excitement for the moment they have been dreaming of since Morgan was a little girl. Jacob could not have been more excited to marry the love of his life, we’re obsessed with that face grabbing kiss! If that doesn’t show their strong affection for one another, we don’t know what will. With a love like that, we know nothing life throws at them will stand in their way of success.
Morgan’s knee-length lace dress created a casual yet stunning look for this Oahu Wedding. Her hair was pinned back in just a few spots, helping keep her hair off her face while still showing off her long wavy hair. We love her choice of flowers, the Tropical Elegance Bouquet is perfect for a traditional look. And just check out those rich colors of reds and pink! Jacob chose to keep his look casual as well with a white button-up and khaki shorts. Plus how fun is that cowboy hat? Little touches like this add so much personality to a wedding, which we always love! We are so happy for these newlyweds and are excited for them to experience endless joy on their adventures ahead. Thank you, Morgan and Jacob, for choosing Simple Oahu Wedding to help make all of your wedding dreams come true! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

Reverend June Dillinger (left), Reverend Grace Christian ( right)
About Reverend June Dillinger: Oahu has been my home for almost 35 years and moving here from La Jolla, CA is one of my most favorite life decisions. I love Hawaii’s ethnic diversity! People are my passion! I have an amazing son on the island and have found my greatest pleasure is being of service to those choosing love and planning their wedding ceremony.
About Reverend Grace Christian: I respect the sacredness of joining two souls in union; the lightheartedness and often tender moments that come forward during the ceremony. Kahu Dennis Chong-Imamura (left), Reverend Kimo Taylor (right)
About Kahu Dennis Chong-Imamura: Kāhea in the Hawaiian language dictionary is “to call, to cry out, invoke, greet, name …; to summon, a call, alarm.” Life for me has been a progression of calls and summons from the Creator who lives in each of us, from Akua – from God. With the hā or chosen breath of life. The series of kāhea started. I believe in God and that there is God – in His image in every person. I believe that we should love or aloha one another (remember the greatest commandment?). I believe that there are many paths to God, whom we call by different names. I say all this because this is who I am as a kahu and celebrant – very important to know and understand for those seeking a sacred path, as in marriage.
With mana and hā I relate to the land, the ʻāina and all its people in the warmth of aloha. I conduct ceremonies within the parameters of traditional Hawaiian protocols, using ti leaves, Hawaiian salt, special water, the sounds of hula and most importantly, oli (chants) that communicate with God, with the forces of nature, with generations that have passed and with generations to come. Mahalo Ke Akua and Blessings to us all.
About Reverend Kimo Taylor: Reverend Taylor has been performing weddings since 1996. He is an ordained non-denominational Christian wedding minister. He began his wedding work on Maui Island on a part-time basis and then moved to Oahu Island in 1998. In 2004, he began doing wedding work on a full-time basis. Since then, he has performed well over 10,000 ceremonies. Kimo can perform non-religious as well as religious ceremonies. He also loves doing vow-renewals that incorporate children as well. Although he has performed many many wedding ceremonies he always goes above and beyond to make each ceremony special and unique. His warm smile and calming presence is a welcome addition to your Oahu wedding day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know our Oahu wedding ministers, they were hand chosen for their quality of ceremonies and genuineness of character to ensure your special day is amazing.
