Secret Island

Love knows no boundaries, and Sunny and Timothy’s journey from friends to soulmates is a testament to the unexpected twists and turns life can bring. With their hearts intertwined, they embarked on a beautiful wedding adventure that would forever be etched in their memories.

Their love story began in the workplace, where Sunny and Timothy crossed paths. Despite going their separate ways professionally, fate brought them back together, and their friendship blossomed into something more. From Houston to California and back again, their love knew no distance.

The proposal, orchestrated meticulously by Timothy, took place in the romantic setting of Quebec’s Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. With hot chocolate in hand, they strolled along the boardwalk to a spot adorned with flowers, candles, and champagne. The accordion player serenaded them with “Paris in Spring,” creating a magical ambiance. As Tim got down on one knee, tears of joy filled Sunny’s eyes, and she said yes without hesitation! So we were delighted to help them bring their dream Oahu venue wedding to life!

Our Vision

Their wedding day at Kualoa Ranch Secret Island in Oahu, it was nothing short of breathtaking! Surrounded by the beauty of nature, the mountain range and the ocean serving as a majestic backdrop, they exchanged vows that echoed with love and happiness. It was a tearful and joyful ceremony, where every moment felt like a slice of paradise.

Radiating romance and dreaminess, Sunny looked stunning in her lace gown, while Timothy appeared dashing in his classic black suit. Their love for adventure and exploration extended beyond their relationship, as they enjoy thrilling activities like cave-tubing, hiking, surfing, skiing, and scuba diving so Hawaii felt like the perfect place for these adventure lovers!

After their elegant ceremony, they ventured to the enchanting koi fish pond for some dreamy newlywed portraits. The tranquil beauty of the surroundings added a touch of magic to their photographs, capturing their love in timeless frames!

Love knows no boundaries, and for Lyndsay and Phillip, their journey led them to a lighthearted and cheerful wedding celebration on the stunning island of Oahu. Their love story is one that blossomed from friendship, making their union even more special! We are so delighted to share with you moments from their big day!

Phillip, a 50-year-old retail professional with two children, and Lyndsay, a 42-year-old property manager with a beautiful daughter and grandson, embarked on a new chapter in their lives together. With no specific goals or priorities in mind, they were eager to experience life’s moments through each other’s eyes, wherever the journey may take them.

Oahu held a special place in their hearts. Phillip’s father was stationed at Hickam Air Force Base, and those years spent on the island created cherished memories for him. On the other hand, Lyndsay had never visited Oahu before, adding an extra touch of excitement to their Oahu destination wedding!

Oahu Was The Natural Choice

The natural beauty of Oahu and its vibrant lifestyle made it the perfect choice for their big day. They both shared a love for the beach, and Phillip’s fondness for Hawaii made the decision even easier! Kyra and Omar knew that a grand traditional wedding wasn’t within their budget, but they still craved a remarkable and memorable experience to share with their families. The idea of a destination wedding combined with a honeymoon in one package seemed like the perfect solution. With Omar having been to Oahu before and Kyra always yearning to explore the island, their choice became crystal clear. Oahu, coupled with the expertise of Simple Oahu Wedding, promised to create an intimate and beautiful ceremony without breaking the bank! And what a day it turned out to be!

Their Story

Their love story began in high school when they met at the tender ages of 15 and 16. Instantly becoming best friends, Kyra and Omar nurtured their connection over the years, even as they pursued other relationships and personal growth. It wasn’t until late 2019 that their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. After a long period of waiting and realizing their true feelings, they became sure about their love for each other.

Kyra and Omar’s engagement was a delightful surprise during a family photoshoot for Christmas cards. Amidst the laughter and excitement, Omar took the opportunity to surprise Kyra with a heartfelt proposal. Their journey towards marriage had already begun, as they had booked their wedding before getting engaged – a testament to their unwavering commitment and love! Their Oahu venue wedding was a dream come true!

The couple was thrilled to celebrate their union at the enchanting Secret Island at Kualoa Ranch. The day itself was nothing short of paradise, with the sun shining brightly and the serene surroundings creating an idyllic atmosphere. Their ceremony was sweet, beautiful, and overflowing with genuine love that resonated with everyone present!

Although Mandie hails from Portland, Oregon, and Steven is from Napa Valley, California, their shared adventurous and outdoorsy spirits drew them together. Hawaii captured their hearts, becoming the perfect location for their wedding celebration. Mandie is a dedicated pilates instructor and part-time dance teacher, while Steven showcases his skills as a server at a top steakhouse in Chicago. As proud parents to their fur babies, Ellie and Penny, they found joy in their everyday lives. But now they were ready to take their love story into the next chapter!

When Mandie stumbled upon our company Simple Oahu Wedding, she instantly knew it was the right fit. Sammy and Drex’s Oahu venue wedding was a truly special day for this incredible couple! They wanted something simple and stress-free, especially since they were planning their wedding from out of state. They opted for a family/close friends wedding which felt like the perfect fit for them! Sammy and Drex loved that they could also have the live stream/recording option, so all of their loved ones could be a part of their special day…

“It was love at first swipe!” Drex told us before their big day. Their love story began with a swipe on a dating app, and much to their surprise, it actually worked! Sammy was in Arizona, and Drex was in the Philippines. But they talked every single day and soon realized they were each other’s biggest supporters. Sammy said even though long-distance relationships can be tough, when they’re with the right person, they’re easy! This happy pair proved that belief to fullest! A Secret Garden

Their Oahu venue wedding was at Kualoa Secret Island in the Moli’i Gardens, nestled by the fish ponds. It was so serene and beautiful… The tranquil beauty of this little spot felt like a secret garden in a tropical oasis. We loved how Sammy made a grand entrance on the magnificent stairwell, and everyone was so happy to join in their celebrations! Drex couldn’t stop smiling at his beautiful bride!

A Day Full Of Love And Laughter

But what struck us most about these lovebirds was how giggly and full of laughter they were! It was evident that they are the best of friends and truly enjoy each other’s company. We walked around the lush lawns and by the dock, capturing just the two of them to savor the romantic moment. There is something about water and lush greenery that makes you feel like you’re in a secret garden!

Sammy and Drex look so incredibly happy together, and it was an honor to capture these special moments! The joyful laughter, tender moments, embraces, and kisses were just the first of many in their next chapter together…

A Place to Start Their Forever

Jason & Jodie are a joyful couple, always ready to share a laugh and find adventure. So marrying in Hawaii seemed like a natural choice. So many details needed to come together: song choices, guest lists, vacation plans, color pallet. But first, they needed to find the perfect place.

After some research, they decided a Kualoa Ranch Secret Island would be perfect for them. This scenic spot became a place where all their other wedding dreams could come true. It was a unique experience for their guests, who could enjoy this hidden gem of a wedding venue. It allowed everyone to sit comfortably for the ceremony without worrying about beachgoers and permitting restrictions.

And the natural beauty of this place allowed Jason & Jodie to create a simple yet meaningful plan that was true to who they are as a couple.

On a bright blue day full of sunshine, Annie and Billy tied the knot at their Oahu venue wedding! These two met on a dating app while Annie was in nursing school and Billy served in the navy. The stars aligned when they met, and both felt incredibly lucky to have met when they did! After two years of dating long distance, they finally got engaged, and their big day arrived on March 23rd! Relive their beautiful day with us through these highlights below!

They couldn’t have asked for a better location for their vows! The breathtaking scenery and privacy of Secret Island were exactly what our happy couple had hoped for. The ocean blues and greenery created a beautiful feeling of harmony and serenity for their guests too! We love the circle arch they included to serve as a tropical altar, too…picture perfect!

What we loved about their Oahu venue wedding was all of the tropical details of their special day, from Annie’s vibrant bouquet to the turquoise waters! One reason they chose to marry in Oahu was that Billy visited Honolulu during his time in the Navy, and Annie had always wanted to visit. And most importantly, they wanted a fun, low-stress wedding, and Hawaii seemed like the perfect place!

A Dream Come True

It was incredibly romantic, with the swaying palm trees framing their newlywed portraits. Annie radiated happiness! What a beautiful beach bride she makes…And we love how Billy wore pug socks to honor their pup at home!

After a few beach portraits, our newlyweds took advantage of the serene fish pond at Kualoa Ranch. The dramatic cliffs in the distance added another layer of tropical perfection to their already magnificent Oahu venue wedding!
