Their Story

Their love story began in high school when they met at the tender ages of 15 and 16. Instantly becoming best friends, Kyra and Omar nurtured their connection over the years, even as they pursued other relationships and personal growth. It wasn’t until late 2019 that their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. After a long period of waiting and realizing their true feelings, they became sure about their love for each other.

Kyra and Omar’s engagement was a delightful surprise during a family photoshoot for Christmas cards. Amidst the laughter and excitement, Omar took the opportunity to surprise Kyra with a heartfelt proposal. Their journey towards marriage had already begun, as they had booked their wedding before getting engaged – a testament to their unwavering commitment and love! With their three adorable dogs by their side, they built a life filled with shared interests like watching movies, playing video games, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

Originally planning to get married in Maui, the wildfires led them to change their plans and embrace the neighboring island of Oahu. Our coordinators made the transition seamless and easy for our happy pair. And what a breathtaking decision it turned out to be! As they stood on the serene Waialae Beach, the sun casting its golden hues upon them, Sara and James radiated pure happiness.
