Oahu Beach Weddings

We are so excited to share Gellie and Ronnie’s Oahu beach wedding! The sun-kissed beaches, the gentle ocean breeze, and the enchanting beauty of the island made it a perfect destination for our high school sweethearts to tie the knot. Gellie and Ronnie realized this dream as they exchanged vows on the picturesque shores of the island’s east side. They chose an Oahu wedding because they’ve always wanted to do a beach wedding, but it wasn’t possible for a church wedding in the Philippines in 2024. But they were already planning on doing a civil wedding anyway, and they were already going on a family trip to Hawaii. So they thought since they would already be in Oahu with their family, why not get married there?! Brilliant idea! They will also be able to hold their church wedding next year too!

Gellie and Ronnie were head over heels in love, and their wedding day celebrated their deep bond. With anticipation and excitement in their hearts, they eagerly awaited this beautiful day; they absolutely LOVE the beach!

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the atmosphere was filled with pure joy. Everyone present felt incredibly blessed to witness and be a part of Gellie and Ronnie’s special moment. Love was in the air and in the ocean breeze, as you’ll see below!

Meant To Be

Ronnie and Gellie’s love story began in the most unexpected of places – their senior year honors arts class. It was Gellie’s favorite class, her sanctuary amidst the chaos of high school. Little did they know that their paths would intertwine in a way that would change their lives forever.

Although they didn’t know each other well at first, Ronnie and Gellie found themselves engaging in casual conversations from time to time. But it wasn’t until a year after high school, about 13 years ago, that their friendship blossomed into something more. On August 22, 2010, they officially became a couple, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

Their love story took an enchanting turn when, exactly 12 years later, on August 22, 2022, during a vacation in the Philippines, Ronnie decided to take their relationship to the next level. It was a magical moment, almost midnight, by the shimmering waters of a beach. With the stars as witnesses, Ronnie got down on one knee and proposed to Gellie, sealing their love for a lifetime!

Beachy Simplicity

Kualoa Regional Park Beach provided an exquisite backdrop for their wedding ceremony! With the ocean waves gently crashing against the shore, Gellie and Ronnie stood hand in hand, ready to embark on this incredible adventure as husband and wife. The setting was nothing short of magical, capturing the essence of their love.

Everyone arrived in the best of spirits, dressed in pristine white attire! Ronnie and Gellie included traditional Cambodian and Filipino elements in their elegant wedding attire too! The purity and simplicity of their outfits perfectly complemented the natural beauty surrounding them. It was a sight to behold, a sea of white against the vibrant blue of the ocean and the sandy shore.

As they exchanged their heartfelt vows, there was so much joy in everyone’s hearts and smiles. Their love spilled over, touching the hearts of everyone present at their wedding. We are so happy this family vacation turned out to be the perfect opportunity for an Oahu beach wedding!

Tropical Radiance

After their sweet oceanside ceremony, our newlyweds were ready to catch a moment alone and bask in the romance of the moment.

Gellie and Ronnie truly looked like a match made in heaven on their special day. Gellie adorned a stunning haku flower crown, carefully crafted with vibrant blooms that perfectly complemented her natural beauty. The tropical crown added an extra touch of elegance to her look, making her radiate with an ethereal glow!

As they stood together, hand in hand, their love shone brightly, illuminating the entire beach. The warm sunlight danced upon their faces, highlighting their smiles and the sparkle in their eyes. It was as if the universe itself conspired to showcase their love in the most enchanting morning light, with the ocean glittering in the distance!

Fast forward to the present, and they found themselves on the stunning shores of Oahu, ready to embark on a new chapter of their lives together.

Moment Of Bliss

Their lovely and intimate ceremony took place at Papa’iloa Beach on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu. It felt like a romantic escape as they exchanged their vows, the sounds of waves crashing gently in the background. Sheila looked absolutely divine in her lace gown adorned with intricate details, radiating elegance and grace. Meanwhile, Louis opted for a classic traditional black suit that exuded sophistication and style!

As they stood there, hand in hand, their happiness was undeniable. Their smiles were contagious, reflecting the deep love they shared for one another. The beach’s natural beauty added an extra touch of magic, making their special day truly spectacular.

The dreamy portraits captured against the backdrop of the pastel-colored sky showcased their love in all its glory. Our new Mr. and Mrs. gracefully ventured on the weathered rocks and paused to savor the moment. Sheila’s delicate lace train was a beautiful contrast to the rugged rocks, but Louis was right by her side – just in case! Have you ever heard of high school sweethearts who went the distance and got married? Well, that’s exactly what happened with Josh and Samantha! They met in World History class in high school, and after almost a decade together, they tied the knot at their Oahu venue wedding!

Samantha was in love with the island when she visited with her mom, and she thought, “I’d love to get married here one day!” Since Josh’s family has roots in Oahu, he and Samantha knew it was the perfect place to celebrate their love story. It was the icing on the cake, and a dream come true!

Their big day at Paradise Cove was an intimate and laid-back affair, full of love and happiness. The fresh green and tropical colors of their beach wedding perfectly complemented the island’s natural splendor.

As they exchanged their vows on the sandy beach surrounded by their loved ones, Josh and Samantha looked so natural and at ease. Their love shines through every photograph from their wedding day!

After their sweet Oahu venue wedding ceremony, our happy newlyweds snuck off with our photographer to capture a few inimate moments by the water’s edge. Samantha and Josh are so ready for their future together after almost ten years of dating! (A lot of that was long distance too!) Once Josh is finished his commitment to the Air Force, they are hoping to move back closer to family to start a family! But for now, they embraced the present moment and their newlywed bliss!

At Simple Maui Wedding, we are all about celebrating life’s big moments of love and happiness! So we were delighted to coordinate Angeline and Rob’s special Oahu beach wedding. Not only was it a sacred commitment of their love, but it was also a celebration of their baby girl on the way! They had been engaged for almost a year and were excited to tie the knot before their little baby girl arrives. And they also were planning to spend their honeymoon in Hawaii too!

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, and after realizing how much work and money it took, they decided to go with the easiest and most carefree option – eloping in Hawaii! They turned their trip into a wedding/honeymoon/babymoon combo, which was the perfect way to start their new adventure together!

Although it was a tough decision to exclude their family and friends from the wedding day, they knew it was the right choice for them! They still plan to celebrate with all their loved ones back home with a party. Plus, their intimate beach wedding was incredibly special and allowed them to focus solely on each other and their love. It was casual, carefree, and relaxed…

The stunning backdrop of the ocean and China Man’s Hat added even more magic to their Oahu beach wedding. They looked so happy and head over heels in love, which made our job as wedding photographers even more enjoyable!

Staying Close to Home

Couples travel thousands of miles to have an Oahu Wedding. But Noel & Marcus live right here on the island. So the beach, the memory, and the details were all extra special for them.

But how did they decide that a hometown elopement was right for them? We’re happy to share that we played a hand in that!

See, Noel & Marcus were out enjoying time at the beach when they saw a wedding happening toward shore. It seemed casual yet meaningful, the type of ceremony they’d enjoy. So as the vendors said their goodbyes, they asked how they could have a similar celebration.

And that’s how they got the information for Simple Oahu Wedding, and how we ended up being their coordinator. Lucky us!

Don’t worry, though — this darling duo stayed close to home for their wedding, but they’re off to see the world. Travel is in their future, and we can’t wait to hear about all the places they visit as a husband & wife team!

A Match Made in Heaven (And Grad School)

Let’s get back to Noel & Marcus, two smiling sweethearts who seemed so relaxed and giddy at their wedding in Oahu. Though they found us recently during a beach outing, their love story dates back over a decade.

That’s when they were both in grad school, looking forward to careers and life beyond their classrooms. Like most great love stories, they met, became friends, fell in love, found a house together, and got a dog (shout out to Louie!). And in 2020, they got engaged.

These days, they’re still rocking the world of academia — Noel as a Vice Principal and Marcus as a high school teacher. And though they’re always looking forward to what’s next, they’re also focusing on the now, enjoying this incredible season of life as newlyweds!
