With Omar having been to Oahu before and Kyra always yearning to explore the island, their choice became crystal clear. Their Story

Their love story began in high school when they met at the tender ages of 15 and 16. Instantly becoming best friends, Kyra and Omar nurtured their connection over the years, even as they pursued other relationships and personal growth. It wasn’t until late 2019 that their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. After a long period of waiting and realizing their true feelings, they became sure about their love for each other.

Kyra and Omar’s engagement was a delightful surprise during a family photoshoot for Christmas cards. Amidst the laughter and excitement, Omar took the opportunity to surprise Kyra with a heartfelt proposal. Their journey towards marriage had already begun, as they had booked their wedding before getting engaged – a testament to their unwavering commitment and love! Although Mandie hails from Portland, Oregon, and Steven is from Napa Valley, California, their shared adventurous and outdoorsy spirits drew them together.
